Ever since I was a kid his dead pan delivery in Airplane! has been an inspiration to me.
His special guest role for the final two episodes of the Golden Girls was a delightful treat.
He will be missed.

I just saw this today. So sad--he was such a wonderful actor. He will really be missed. So glad he was so active even in his final years.

Short but good performance in flashback scenes with prostitute Barbra Streisand in Nuts. Also, great in beginning of the original Poseidon Adventure. RIP, sir.
