No one watched it? I did and thought Lindsay, for the first time in a long time, was actually very real and honest with herself and the public. I hope this is a turning point for her.
I can only speak for myself. I did not watch it.
I saw the tail end of it and thought what I saw of it was good. I think she's still in a bit of denial regarding her parents - but that's just the opinion of an outsider.
I had to smile when it was stated she canceled her vacation two days after the interview. For those who didn't see it Oprah was really grilling her about how she can take a European vacation so soon after rehab. She brought up her eating addiction and said she wouldn't go to a chip factory after getting out of rehab. During the course of the interview Lindsay was maintaining she'd be fine in a party atmosphere. Can't say that Oprah's words were the true or only reason for the cancellation but I think they made her think.
Even though Oprah has a huge empire I do really think she cares. This may just be her being a great actress but I think she sets out to help as well as provide us with an entertaining interview.
It felt awkward at the end when Oprah was basically scolding Lindsay into not going to Europe. It felt like an adult talking down to a child (which actually might not be so off base). Gotta hand it to Oprah for the button at the end "I want you to win", made the whole hour worthwhile.
Sadly based on Lindsay's past patterns (and 6 rehab stints), this will not be the last we hear of her problems. I'm reminded of Oprah's big Whitney interview where she came clean and was moving on...and we all know how that ended up.
The whole thing with the trip to Europe felt planted to me, especially with Oprah producing Lindsay's new reality show.
Overall, Lohan came off like she had a head on her shoulders, but she still gave some BS answers that show she's still not 100% self-aware. I was also disappointed Oprah didn't ask her more about her on-set reputation (she didn't mention the open letter from the GEORGIA RULE producers, the recent NYTimes magazine article, and the reports from GLEE/SNL that she was difficult throughout). I hope she gets better and doesn't end up like Whitney Houston or Corey Monteith, it's up to her, everyone seems to be willing to give her a third, fourth, fifth chance.

OWN has announces that Lohan's reality show will begin airing on March 9, but I have plans for that day. Sorry Oprah.
