"and to think that only 8 years ago this was the adorable little freckle faced girl from "the parent trap"... "
You're right. It's a shame because I think she does have talent.
And her pathetic, aging party girl Mom just makes me cringe. She just doesn't seem to have her daughter's best interests at heart. She'd rather seek out fame and go to clubs with Lindsay than really look out for her.

This is what happens when parents "prostitute" their children to become the breadwinners for the family. They see dollars signs, that's all.
Her bail was set at $25,000. In my book, it should have been a lot more.
Can we just cast Lindsay, Britney, Nicole, et al in the next "Big Brother?"
That would get me to watch television.
And there is a barbie of this girl. Great example for all the kids who worship her.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
I feel sorry for her. Yes, she makes her own decisions, but it is clear she is terribly addicted.
She will be doing some major time in jail now.
I feel sorry for her, too. Her parents and this business have destroyed her. I only hope she gets some clarity and some point before she hurts herself even more...or, worse, someone else. Sad...cause she really is pretty freaking talented.
i agree. it was all someone else's fault. it always is.
Why don't you go back to whipping yourself, Judge Turpin.
Honestly...one can't have pity for someone who was f*cked up by a world that can do a major number on fully-formed adults, let alone children? She's going to pay. Big time. She should. And she needs to take responsibility for herself. But why would that preclude anyone having any sort of compassion or, God help us, empathy for another?
I pity her on the one hand because her upbringing was less than ideal, but I don't pity her for repeatedly putting other people's lives in danger, as well as her own. Her behavior is irresponsible, dangerous, and very sad.
The only problem she has is getting caught. She needs to be more careful.
I don't feel sorry for her. I wish I had her money.
'I don't feel sorry for her. I wish I had her money.'
Work as hard as she has and maybe you will.
'I don't pity her for repeatedly putting other people's lives in danger, as well as her own. Her behavior is irresponsible, dangerous, and very sad.'
I completely agree with that. Girl needs something drastic to make her want to truly change. Maybe jail time is that thing. I hope so.
But when I think if some of the crazy, f*cked up sh*t I've done in my life that has not only put myself, but others, in danger...I can't really take the moral high ground like some folk around here do.
You've got to wonder about the people in her life that would allow her to continue to be so self destructive. Doesn't anybody have a backbone or are they all on her meal ticket? Somewhere from the time she started to get dressed to go out to the time she was pulled over, someone could have said "NO". Very sad. This pretty much guarantees a nice long prison sentence -- hopefully it will help.

I don't feel sorry for her. I wish I had her money.
Way to show compassion, Ivan.
I think the people that used to work for Anna Nicole have moved over to Lindsay's camp.
Not taking the moral high ground, robbie. Just being sensible.
Oh...I certainly didn't think you were taking any moral high ground, Shbrt.
I think there is a major difference between judging someone legally and judging them morally. Girl needs to be punished. Maybe it will wake her up. But morally, for me...I can't bring myself to judge her.
As sick as it sounds I think they need to take her to the funerals of some people who have been killed by drunk drivers. She needs to see the suffering that she could have caused by her actions. She also needs jail and more intensive rehab time. No plush Hollywood rehab centers, but a serious medical facility. This is so pathetic and I really hope that she gets the help that she needs before she kills herself or someone else.
Kel, you can't shock someone sober.
The hell you can't ... tazer the bitch.
Sueleen, you're right, but it would still make me feel better if she really knew what she could have done. My brother was killed by a drunk driver and I have to work very hard at feeling any sympathy for someone who does something like this, especially more than once.

"The only problem she has is getting caught"
Oh, you are so insightful! Here I thought she had problems with drugs and booze and self destruction but really it's only getting caught that's her problem.
oy vey.
I am sorry for your loss, Kel. Intellectually you would think that would work, but the addiction gets hold and she has no control. I mean even after her last bout with the law it took her, what, two weeks? And that is with the ankle bracelet thing.
