Every year our county does this cool "High School Theater Awards" thing at this local theater.
We film our performances and then the numbers are sent to broadway directors to judge. Awards given out are like "Best Dance Number" and "Best Female Actress in a Musical", etc.
Then the thespians/schools with the highest scores win the awards.
Also, throughout the night every highschool does a number from their musical (which is nice because sometimes our shows are the same weekends as other schools).
It usually a pretty big night, and everyone dresses as if they were going to the Tony's.
Does anyone else participate in a similar thing near them?

Yea, not so much a fan, and the four hour training session they put me through where they said two million times to judge shows based on "how hard people tried" didn't help their cause much. Oh well, it's all good fun I suppose. I like seeing free shows.
