So true! We have a vest that's been in every show we have done to date, ranging from Oliver to Seussical.
...when the director adds songs in order to cover the incredibly long set change.

No Marriage counsler in the world could fix their problems...
The only characters I really enjoy on this show are Richie, Kat, and Ethan.
I loved the ice cream bit because My friends and I have done that...ohsoimmature...

Of course the black and white thing won't be quite the same, but It can work on stage. I really really hope this works out...

I am so in love with Jesse...
and I really love his character because of how dark he is.
the show is just so amazing. i hate television, and it's one of the three tv shows I watch regularly.(four including the news)
last night's episode made me cry...is that a little weird?

I saw it in Houston, and agree with you for the most part. I thought it was lacking in energy. The Audiance was very small (It was a tuesday) so i wonder if the actors just didn't feel the need to try as hard.
The "bushes from tex" line had the audiance in stitches. huh.
We met Norbert at the stage door and he gave my group of friends his audiance and took a picture, then left. I don't think he signed anyone elses. He seemed amicable, but tired and a little akward.

I read a reveiw in dramatist magazine that accused Matthew broderick of playing the same character he did in the producers. It said the intermission was put in the wrong place and completely disrupted the flow of the show. Allthogether it was just a big mess.

I too have never seen the original prduction because i can't fly back and forth between katy, texas and New York.
but I adore mel brooks and i liked the movie. and the fact that is so much like the original production can be a good thing, it helps out those of us that can afford 7$ for a movie, but not hundreds of dollars for a ticket.
When i can find $20, I'll buy it.

I haven't seen anything as horrible as some off this stories. o.@
When I saw Hairspray on tour, people took pictures like Crazy. I was beginning to wonder is they had even dimmed the lights, i couldn't tell because of all the flashing. people all along my row had sandwiches, cokes, and chips out, enjoying their meals very loudly. and there were children crying off in the distance. Why anyone would bring a baby to see hairspray was beyond me.

I've seen it four. I want to see it six times though, because my friend's seen it five, and i must beat her.
I'm in love with this movie. Despite all flaws, I love it. Favourtie parts include:
mark Dancing by himself during La Vie Boheme B (It makes me want to dance with him. >_>)
