True, and I guess that would imply that mother is a smoke monster herself. She did ravage that small town of people in a smoke-monster-like fashion.

OK while we wait for the last 2 episodes of Lost what is your favorite Lost moment and your least favorite Lost moment.
My least favorite was the Bia Ling episode and not a fan of Nikki and Paulo
My favorite is all of Sawyers one liners and the nicknames he gives everyone. I know this sounds morbid of me but the deaths on this show really stand out to me because no one on this show is safe. The writer's aren't afraid to rip out the audience's heart. Plus the death scenes are tragically sad yet written, shot, and scored so beautifully.
Favorite eps in no particular order: Pilot, Walkabout, The Constant, Through the Looking Glass, The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham, and Ab Aeterno.
Least favorite: Stranger in a Strange Land. I thought Nikki and Paulo were ridiculous, but I kind of liked Expose. I thought it was a creative story, if unrelated to the main thrust of the series.

I love how Damon and Carlton admitted to hating the Stranger in a Strange Land episode... if EVER there was a reason to think the writer's were making it up as they go along then this would be the episode!
And that Expose was pretty cool... I liked it... and I loved how they reincorporated the plane crash and you could see it from a different viewpoint...
and does anyone here listen to the podcast? I love how some guy asked them a question.. how come Sawyer didn't know who Anakin was when Hurley mentioned it... you'd think he'd know since Sawyer uses tons of Star Wars references when he makes fun of people... well I didn't quite buy their answer which was basically Sawyer doesn't know the characters he just knows the names... but I did love how they said that Sawyer probably only watched the Original Trilogy! haha
Did anyone see the one actor on "The View" this morning. (The heavyset guy). Whoopie came up with a "theory" but he kind of shot it down. She was wondering why all of the survivors look as if they could be family. It seemed she was trying to get something out of him. He also said they are releasing a limited edition picture (Something like 800 copies)of the survivors standing in front of the plane. I don't watch the show so I don't know which plane. It didn't look like a commercial jet from the glimpse I got. he gave Whoopie the first copy because she is a big fan of the show. I think they may also be signed.
I didn't mind Expose. I do listen to the Podcast and the last one was sweet...my favorite podcast was the one where they talked about the sharks name...something like eli sharkington the third. I am gonna miss this show
Wow...um....wow.
Let the haters say we're not getting answers now...
I find Ben to be the most interesting character. What's he getting out of all of this? Why betray everyone? Does he really think Smokey is gonna give him the island? Oh, and did he say he wants Desmond to destroy it?
I think Ben is plotting something...he always manipulates, so why do I have the feeling he is trying to get back at Smokey. I feel like Widmore didn't whisper the truth in Locke's ear. Why do I think Jack is not going to have his job for long.
Also love how in sideways world everyone is going to end up at Widmore's party. This was the perfect set up episode for Sunday. Can not wait
Ben has to be plotting something. Smokey promises him the island...and then tells him that his plan now is to destroy it? That can't sit well with Ben!
I'm guessing Richard can't be dead, right? He IS immortal...
I agree Violet, I don't think Jack is going to have the job long. I think it's going to be Hurley (note foreshadowing: "I'm glad it wasn't me.")
One of the best lines in the series: "He doesn't get to save his daughter."
What does it mean that Desmond is the failsafe? He turned the failsafe key in season 2 -- relevancy?
Loved how Kate commented on Ji-Yeon, and then Jacob said she was crossed off because she became a mother. That was some solid writing there.
CAN'T WAIT for Sunday!
I was so happy to see a very sweet Danielle. When she said that she'll kidnap Linus to get him to come over for dinner cracked me up.
I also thought Linus's line, after he shoots Widmore, was priceless.
Jack taking over is way too predictable. I thought it would have been a cool twist if Ben actually takes over. Perhaps even Kate. Still, so many questions they won't be able to answer.I was disappointed by Widmore's death and if Richard is dead, that will be a let down. Two big characters dying too quickly does not sit well.I am hoping there is something with the finale that makes our jaw drop. Something we overlooked and did not think of.There has to be a way to kill Smokey. Also, why is Smokey keeping Ben alive? Obviously, Richard was no use to him anymore. Why is Ben? Does he need Ben to kill the other candidates, since he can not? If so, why not have Ben kill them from the start like he did with Jacob? The show feels a tad rushed now. Like they are quickly answering questions with very little explanations. I remember feeling so let down when I watched the finale of ALIAS. I see many similarities. I am very excited for the finale. (is it 2 hours, 2 1/2 hours or 3 hours?) I've heard various running times for the finale.
I have to say I wasn't sorry when he killed Tina Fey (or whoever the hell Widmore's sidekick was; never learned her name). She bugged me from the very beginning.
Does he need Ben to kill the other candidates, since he can not? If so, why not have Ben kill them from the start like he did with Jacob?
Yes.
Because Ben got totally freaked out and terrified of him after that and left.
OK then. Well, here is a theory I'll throw out there.
Ben is gonna be the new Jacob. Who loves the island more? Man in Black promised Ben the island and then told him he was gonna destroy it. That could not have gone over very well with Ben. Ben has a plan. Ben knows something the MIB does not. Don't forget, he knew a lot about Jacob, probably more than anyone else other than Richard. Question is, what is Ben's plan? Ben seems to look out for himself only. Ben being this selfish would make perfect sense for him to be the one to stay alone on the island protecting it.After all, since he killed Jacob he sort of owes him.Ben's redemption.Ben's sacrifice.
I'm really interested in hearing theories now with what we know so far. How will it end? I still am wondering if everyone at the concert together somehow triggers some sort of memory. What if this reality becomes the ultimate reality? If so, Sun,Jin, and Sayid are still alive along with everyone else who died on the island. So many possibilities.
Finale is 2 and a half hours long 9 to 11:30. I don't think Richard is dead or that Widmore is dead(I could be wrong about Widmore)Also loved when Ben, Miles, and Richard were walking back to New Otherton and Ben said "I know where I am going I lived here almost 30 years" and Miles said"I was here thirty years ago and it seems like it was a couple of days ago, oh wait it was".
My question is the man in the cabin that Ben talked to wasn't that smokey and not Jacob? Did Jacob want Ben to purge the Dharma group because they tried to drill into the island once? Also remember that Widmore told Desmond that he is going to make the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone. Thinking about this gives me a headache but I can not wait till Sunday...funny thing is I am going to see Sunday matinee of A Little Night Music and literally running to the train in order to get home to set up my little Lost party. Anyone else having a viewing party. I am just having a couple of friends over that are fans of the show who will sit in silence and watch.
Smokey was posing as Christian Sheppard when he asked, "The Island Be Moved" a couple seasons back. Ben had to do this, kicking him off the island for good....or so we thought. So, why did Smokey back then NOT want Widmore's people coming to the island to take Ben away? Will this even be answered or does it matter at this point? Why were the children so important to the island and why do mother's always seem to die during childbirth or once their babies are born? SO MANY Questions. Oh, and whats the deal with Walt and the numbers?
We were trying to figure out the big questions that haven't been answered that we're worried never will be, and the mother/childbirth thing is at the top of the list. That was a HUGE plot point for like three seasons, the reason Juliet was brought to the island in the first place - it NEEDS to be answered somehow.
Here's another implication I'm wondering about now. The psychic told Claire she HAD to raise Aaron, right? Given the revelation we got last night about Kate being crossed off the list because she's a mother, might the psychic have been connected to MIB (or, at the very least, indirectly working for him via Ben who, as it turns out, was being manipulated by him all along?), trying to prevent Kate from fulfilling that duty, and thus nullifying her as a candidate?
I still think Hurley is a key player and we'll find out his real purpose on Sunday, whether it be as the new Jacob (I don't think it will be Jack for long) or as a new Richard (who I don't think is dead)...
The childbirth thing is a question I want answered. Why that started happening back in 1977 after the incident. I'd really like to know about Walt and what his importance is, but I don't think we're going to find out. Similarly, I really think that the importance of the numbers has already been revealed: they're the numbers of the remaining candidates. I really feel like that was all the mythological importance they're going to receive. They're important because of the importance of fate on the show and how these particular people were somehow destined to this point in time.
There's a lot of questions people are saying they want answers to that I just think aren't important anymore. I honestly have very few big questions that I feel I NEED TO GET by the time the series finale is over. My dad sent me this big list of "50 Questions Lost Really Does Need To Answer" (http://io9.com/5540279/50-questions-lost-really-does-need-to-answer) and we went through them together and really only figured that five or so were actually important enough to answer. A lot of them -- like who Jacob's mom was, how she got to the island, etc. -- are just nagging details to take all of the magic out of the mythology. (Jacob's mom is the protector of the island, his predecessor, etc. She was probably brought to the island like everyone ends up brought to the island and had a predecessor before her. And so on and so forth. Why does it matter?)
Richard is not dead. He's too important a character thematically to give that kind of death to. (Pretty much flung off-camera, no actual attention given to him, etc.) I wouldn't be surprised if Richard is on the list of people that MIB can't kill.
I really hope that Ben will prove us all wrong with a big redemption. Honestly, I really hope he's the one to figure out how to kill MIB. I think, above everyone, he deserves it. MIB has clearly been manipulating him for a long time, pretending to be Jacob (because obviously it was him being Christian Shepherd telling them to move the island, and I'm guessing he's been the one to hang out and say cryptic things in the cabin), then actually manipulating Ben into killing the actual Jacob. Ben should totally get to stab that sucker right in the heart. (Except have it work.) I hope that he has some awesome plan. I don't think it makes sense that he's suddenly just okay with killing anyone MIB wants him to, considering how he left MIB earlier in the season and was terrified of him and his influence. And it would be such a waste of Ben's character to have this brilliant, subtle mind just wind up killing wherever you point him.
And let me just say. If Desmond and Penny are not happy and alive at the end of this series, I will hit someone.
The finale is 2 1/2 hours long, but it starts at 7 on Sunday, not at 9.
Tell me they are not doing one of those recap shows for the first hour. I can see them doing that for the first 2 or maybe 3 seasons, but to do it every season and with the finale is a total waste.
OK,another question. How can Jacob leave the island whenever he wants to? Did he really visit Whidmore? Did they really explain the wheel in the cave with the light? They barely touched on it,but not many details were given. I'm pretty greedy when it comes to unanswered questions. I have been a loyal viewer since the show aired. They have had the luxury so many shows do not and that's actually knowing when the series will end. They have had years to wrap things up neatly and it seems like they have been sloppy with the details. The fans made the show and to come out and say,'sorry, not enough time to answer all the questions' is total BS!
