I'm planning a trip to NYC and just realized Harry Styles will be at Madison Square Garden while we are there. Ticketmaster has seats in the sections behind the stage in the $30-80 range. Can you see at all when you're behind the stage? My daughter loves him. Considering going just to experience a concert there. Or should we spring for Stubhub tickets?

I'd vote Stubhub, but also, I'd wait until his shows are actually playing and you know the use of the space.

I saw Billy Joel at the Garden from behind the stage, and they were great seats. He had several keyboards spread across the stage, and he would often acknowledge and play to us. From that experience, I would not hesitate to sit there again. I don't know how other performers are set up, but I felt that our seats were some of the best in the arena.

It's less a question of can you see and more of how much do you want to see his ass and profile when he walks back and forth. Billy Joel isn't bad from that perspective since he is at a piano, and in profile for everyone much of the time. So, just a matter of how connected you'll feel to Harry if he's always singing away from you... I'm sure he'll face/address you at some point, but it will be a tiny slice of the time.

Will there be a screen visible? Or does that vary by performer also? The Stubhub seats would be way on the other end across from the stage, so we'd be relying on the screens a lot anyway. I'm weighing $30x2 straight from Ticketmaster versus $200x2 with the Stubhub risk...I know Stubhub has a great reputation, but I'm a worrier. ![]()

When I saw Billy Joel (not at MSG) I had free tickets that were behind the stage. At first we thought it would be awful, but there was no backdrop and his pianos actually revolved in a circle. We were about eight rows from him, so it actually was a great seat. Then I saw Neil Diamond(!) with free tickets behind the stage and we had his back to us 90% of the time. My advice, unless this is his first show, look up reviews by fans from past shows (Ticketmaster always has reviews of past shows) and see if anyone mentions sitting behind the stage and how good or bad the seats were.

I have behind the stage tix at MSG for Billy Joel for April and I am excited. I saw Streisand from behind the stage and felt that it was more important to be closer to the entertainment (at a fraction of the price) than a football field away.
I definitely think you should go to experience a concert there. The behind the stage seats were great in that a lot of the fun and excitement comes from seeing all the super fans in the first floor sections and how they react to Harry. I would definitely take the chance on the behind the stage seats.

I would imagine Harry Styles won't have a very extravagant show, so he'll probably have his back to you. But I'd imagine there will be screens, but they won't be toward you, you'd be seeing the mirror image, since you're behind. But wait till he's playing and see.

Justin Timberlake is selling behind stage as full view even though he has an end stage and a center stage. As long as there is no backdrop it shouldn't be that bad. Plus, he's young so I imagine he'll be running around and would face the back as well. If the tickets aren't listed as partial view, then they are not. I'd call Ticketmaster and ask. Everyone had been asking about Justin and Ticketmaster released a statement saying behind the stage is not partial view.
