Madonna and R&B?

I'm looking forward to Madonna's HARD CANDY. But it seems some people are making such a big deal that she made an R&B album with Timbaland and Pharrell. But I think some people are forgetting she has already made an R&B album. Her amazing BEDTIME STORIES album.




I'm sure her new album will be more of R&B/funk than BEDTIME, which was more legit R&B. But Madonna desperately needed a new sound, and I'm glad she's got it.

So who loves BEDTIME STORIES and is excited for Madonna's second R&B album?

Bedtime Stories is probably my favorite CD of hers. I still consider it pop with a tinge of R&B but not a full on R&B CD.

I don't consider "Don't Stop", I'd Rather be Your Lover", "Sanctuary" or "Love Tried to Welcome Me" full on R&B songs. At least not like the R&B I grew up with and is out there today. But I feel it is R&B tinged. But then all R&B is not really what it used to be. JMO

Miles Away, Shes Not Me, Incredible, Give It To Me

Incredible is a weak song but the others are great (Miles away is a beautiful song), Give It To Me (very dancy, a good club song) Shes Not Me (Great to dance to and very funny lyrics, a bit like Thief Of Hearts)

The music so far is a bit 80s meets urban meets Dance music

Its very fresh and a fun album from the sounds of it

I, too, have heard some tracks and it's very good--better dance music than Confessions by far. It's gotten good reviews by Rolling Stone and EW.
