Fast food chain McDonalds is looking to change their decor. Look at some of these ideas. Do they know that children eat there? Can you imagine sitting in the "Still Golden" setting after a child has spilled his soda or dropped his Happy Meal?

Are they gonna upgrade the food while they're at it?
I like the idea, but McDonald's is still McDonalds. No amount of faboo interior decorating and mood lighting will make me want to eat there. And yeah, can you imagine what it will cost to clean that new upholstery? Ketchup and pale fabric do not get along...

Glad to say I have only been in a McDonalds once, and never eaten anything of theirs.

The new McDonalds that stands in the place of the Rock and Roll McDonalds downtown Chicago is like this. There's a section where every two tables, you're in a different era with different music from that era. We sat in the 80's. I was thinking the same thing, "How are they going to keep it clean?" My guess is they won't. They had a bistro type thing upstairs. They served baklava (sp?) and cheesecake and gelato and all that stuff. So, in a way, the food did improve. I actually went to a "Bistro-Gourmet McDonalds" in Orlando- they served all the regular McD's stuff along with panini and pasta dishes. What will they think of next?
-My fault, I fear.

Posted: 5/11/06 at 10:38pmI was at a McDonalds that had a grand piano that played by itself, and glass cases on the wall with china in them. It was weird. I think it should just stay the same...it's a fast food place, not a nice restaurant.

Hate to admit this but I like The Asian Salad.
I was in New Jersey, and we stopped for lunch and I kind of like the salad.
It is not bad and they even have lowfat dressing.

I am a foodie and prefer GOURMET food. Additionally, I am a snob about food. But, I really like The Asian Salad.
I am working out a lot. I do pilates, weight training and cardi almost 5 times a week. It is a slow process, but it is working.
I have lost 15 pounds. 34 MORE and wait!

Posted: 5/12/06 at 12:02amyeah, I am not a fan of McDonalds either. One burger has over 1000 calories, most of which is fat, probably. Anyways, Corine, I guess if that's working for you then keep it up. It's good to alternate between weight training and cardio. Also, pilates never hurt. One big thing though, that people overlook is diet. If you want to speed up weight loss, you might try a calorie restrictive diet, where you eat 10-15x you're lean body mass. I've been gaining weight, or mass, and it is all totally from diet.
