Disgusting...I'd boycott if I ever ate there.
I just wrote to them and told them that I am boycotting them because of this. Here's a link:

It would be nice to think that all companies do the right thing because it is right, however greed guides most decisions. It's important to let them know that there are people on both sides of this issue, and we are just as willing to boycott them as the other side.
I tried to send them an email and for some reason it wouldn't let me...hmmmm...
my e-mail just went through. Oh, and I had Subway for lunch today.
edit: I just got a confirmation e-mail from McDonalds. They got my e-mail.
Well, I'm glad I don't eat there then.

Just sent in my boycott notice. It was fast and easy to do. Thanks for the link madbrian.
I'd like you to "supersize" my order of... absolutely nothing, then.
I worked at a McDonald's in college, back in the early '80s. I had to get up at 4AM to make the biscuits. It didn't last long, thankfully. I left for a theatre gig and never looked back.
Here's another reason to head for the exit.

Did yuo hear the latest? Several McDonalds restaurants in California were mistakenly sent (and had been distributing) old Happy Meal containers that had advertisements for various electronic games you could buy - including "Michael Vick Football".
This morning I received the following response from McDonalds:
Thank you for contacting McDonald's. We appreciate this opportunity to share some information with you.
As we've said all along, McDonald's stands by and supports our people. Diversity and inclusion are integral components of our brand and our heritage.
We continue to have strong employee networks throughout our company and will continue to align our brand with individuals and organizations that share our belief in supporting our people and the communities we serve.
Regarding Richard Ellis, he made a personal decision to step down from the Board of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce after he accepted a new position earlier this year with McDonald's Restaurants of Canada, Limited.
At McDonald's, we continue to value and respect everyone.
Thank you for sharing your personal point of view on this topic with us.
I had withheld comment because, considering who was claiming victory in a boycott, I figured there was more to the story. And there is. Per Portfolio.com:
But a McDonald's spokeswoman disputed details of AFA's account. McDonald's, she said, was never a corporate "member" of NGLCC; its relationship with the organization consisted of Ellis's board seat and a sponsorship he arranged. "McDonald's sponsored a table at an event at an NGLCC gala fundraiser," said the spokeswoman. "That's what they're labeling a sponsorship. That was the extent of our involvement."
Ellis stepped down from the NGLCC board, she added, because he recently transferred to a post with McDonald's Canadian operation. "McDonald's has no plan to fill his seat [on the board] because it's not our seat to fill," she said.
As for AFA's claim that McDonald's has pledged to "remain neutral in the culture war regarding homosexual marriage," NGLCC notes for the record that gay marriage isn't even part of its lobbying agenda.
As the article notes, the AFA and Don Wildmon have a loooong history of staging ineffective boycotts (Ford, Disney) and then claiming credit when something organically happens.
There are plenty of reasons not to eat at McDonalds, but I don't think this is one of them. Remember, McDonalds did tell them to kiss off at the onset of the AFA campaign. Don't give any false credit to Wildmon's bogus claims.

I had a feeling there was more to it than what we originally read about.
