filesonic is closed now too. You can only download files that you, yourself upload -- although that won't prevent people from sharing login information.

I never even heard of Megaupload until this all happened. Does no one use i-tunes anymore? I always pay for my music legit.

Megaupload isn't really used for music sharing very much, I don't think. It's more for sharing video and such. A lot of Broadway bootleggers upload their video or audio and then share it with others. Music's main outlet is Pirate Bay or Demonoid, both of which seem to remain just out of the reach of many laws. Not sure how long that will last, though.
