Congrats, Princeton - about time, too! Thrilled for you. Enjoy your time in the sun. A question - who would you have serve you with that Grande Iced White Chocolate Mocha?
Oh Aaron, i'm trying so hard....
If I make it, it'll be tonight....
If I can get outta work... =-(
Pattifan....it'd be Jake Gyllenhaal. Modeling Calvin Klein's latest boxer briefs. =-)
Congrats princeton!!!
If you were any building in the world, what building would you be and why?
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
If you had to move to another City, anywhere in the World, but you could never leave that city again - not even to visit other cities - and you could take someone with you, where would you go and who would you take? (others CAN come visit you, though)
"If you were any building in the world, what building would you be and why?"
I would be the Eifel Tower. Then I could overlook that beautiful, glittering city of Paris at all times.
"If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?"
I'd have my grandmothers over for dinner. They have both passed away, and I miss them terribly. I'd love to show them the home i've made for myself, talk about my job and my career/academic accomplishments, and show them the person I have become. I hope they would be proud.
I'd let them cook though...they're much better at it.

*Sigh* I'd have to say that next to Boston, my heart belongs to NYC. I'd move there, and i'm sure i'd be perfectly happy for the rest of my life. It really is a magical place. People often ask me why I don't move there, and my answer is usually that i'm terrified that some of the magic might dissapear if I lived there year round. But if I couldn't live in my beloved Boston, I'd be to New York pretty quickly. I'm currently single, so until Prince Charming comes along, I'd likely bring my 18 year old sister Erin with me. She's an absolute doll and my best friend. I've also made quite the little theatre queen out of her. We may have a 10 year age difference, but we always find plenty to talk about and do when we're together.
*Woah, that 2nd question made me a bit misty.*

Congrats Princeton! What are some of the joys of your job?
That is one of the best 2nd question answers. Not that it's a contest of any sort. And I'm sure they'd be (are) VERY proud of you.
Daydreamer, thank you.
As for the joys of my job, I've discussed them briefly, but the joy comes more in the relationships you build with students rather than anything that comes out of a text book. My class this year gave me a real run for my money. At field day, I jokingly told them that my class had never won the all-school tug-of-war, and this class that (in my mind), had lived to torture me, pulled out a victory, and if you ask any of them, they'll say that they wanted me to have a win. That meant more to me than any A or whatnot.

Sorry, I thought I posted my questions on Friday. I'm getting old and senile.
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?

Okay, here's a question for the ever-handsome princeton78:
If you were going to spend the evening with me, what would you force me to do?
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
Actually, I'd love to have Ellen Degeneres in the bed next to me because, i'm not a fan of hospitals, and I'd need someone to put a smile on my face. She never fails to make me smile.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
This has been a big year for me. I've come out to my parents, purchased a home, and become the proud papa of 2 kittens whom I adore... For the first time in my life, I finally feel free. I feel like career, home, family, friends and romance are in harmony. Ok, so I'd like a bit more pizazz in the romance department, but we'll see how things go. =)
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
I'm actually very shy. I guess it's an old excuse, but being very overweight as a child, and having the other kids call me fat and a 'big girl', did a lot of damage. In my early adulthood, I went into every meeting with someone new, assuming they would not like me. I've been working on this, and am getting better, but it still plagues me. When i'm dating someone, and he is showing me through actions and words that he cares, I often feel like I don't deserve it. Oh well.
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
Henry, Grace, (the kitties) and my stuffed cat from infanthood.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
I think, I hope that the word "kind" pops up. I put my foot in my mouth a lot, I make mistakes, I screw up, I have my flaws, but I always try to make people happy. Anything I do or say that might upset people, usually comes from an original good intention and with a clean heart. I hope the people close to me pick up on that.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
I'd like to take a summer in NYC, London or Paris sometime. I don't know if my current mortgage would allow me to do that though! Hehe.
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?
Ugh...toughie. I used to keep an online blog, and a guy from upstate New York and I had been talking back and forth over our blogs for over a year. This led to online convos, phone convos, and finally, I went to meet/visit him. He had just purchased a home, and it was October. I brought him a pumpkin for his first front doorstep, and sunflowers for his first kitchen. He talked for weeks about how much he appreciated that. He said the 2 simple gifts really made his new house feel like home. He also gave me the greatest gift in a long time. That night, he set up a blankie on the floor in his empty living room, lit the first fire in his new fireplace, and poured us both a glass of wine. It was really wonderful to just get to sit in the glow of that fire and talk about everything under the sun. I made a new, dear friend that day who I know will be in my life for many years to come.
Dolly...what would I force you to do? Sit on the couch, eat chocolate chip cookies, drink cosmopolitans and watch "CATS:The Video" of course! =)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The couch, the cookies and the cosmopiltans are all fine with me, but CATS????????????? Sheer torture!!!!!!!
So that's a 'No' Dollypop?
Congratulations!
If you could time travel, where would you go?
If aliens knocked on your front door, what would you do?
If you wrote an autobiography, what would it be called?
If you could time travel, where would you go?
This is a tough one...
The 20's, 50's and 60's all appeal to me, but I can most see myself in a supper club in the 20's, sipping a martini, and listening to big band music. Ah...bliss!
If aliens knocked on your front door, what would you do?
Close it quickly.
If you wrote an autobiography, what would it be called?
"I'd like a cheesbuger, small fries and a cosmopolitan please."
or maybe..

Congrats Princeton!!
Thank You!
*SIGH* Only a few more hours, and Boobs never gave me the tiara. =(
OK, it's bragging time..
Here is Henry and Grace's baby pic from January (in the middle), and here are 2 pics from just 2 weeks ago....
MY BABIES!
(That is of course me n' Grace in the avatar.)
Boobs is on vacation, Princeton. We need to get someone to fill in for him in his crowning duties. Any volunteers?
Well, I guess i'll have to forego the crown this time as I have to run to a meeting that will stretch beyond 10 A.M.
Ok, I thought about who should succeed me. I have several friends from this board whom i've met in person, and it would be impossible and unfair to pick between them, so I decided to go with someone that I only know through the board, but I think is very worthy of the title....
(Hopefully he'll let me wear the tiara for a few minutes at least)
I give you...
*drumroll*
CALVIN
=) Enjoy your day.
