In other words, PJ, eliminates Sherman.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

ETA: I'm disgusted (or is that discusted? degutted?) that you think I'd have nominated Carla.

Love,
bway

OH MY!
It's my last day of school...so this is a lovely surprise!
Thank You Bway!

As for Calvin's questions, I would say my most memorable birthday would have been this year actually. I had a lovely dinner on Newbury St. in Boston with close friends, I had just come out to my family, just purchased a home (though I hadn't moved yet) and I had someone I cared a lot about by my side. My best girl also baked me a cake. =)

As for NYC...very soon actually. I'm hoping at least twice this summer.

"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."
-Kad

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Cookie, I will sip that cosmopolitan while I answer a few questions....

Ideal meal? There is a restaurant in my hometown that is called "The Willow Tree." It is very elegant, yet everything is homemade and there are little, twinkling white lights everywhere. They have fresh flowers on all the tables and the linens are beautiful. When I go there, I always have 2 cosmopolitans, their arugula salad with raspberry vinegarette dressing, chicken marsala w/their homemade banana bread and if I have room, they make Bananas Foster at the table. It's fantabulous...

My comfort dish? Chocolate Chip Cookies.....freshly baked please. =)

My favorite actor on Broadway right now is actually Christian Hoff. He is giving an intense, energetic and moving performance in "Jersey Boys." He deserved his Tony.

My favorite actress is Laura Benanti. I have not yet seen "The Wedding Singer, but I am a big fan of Ms. Benanti. She shimmered in the revival of "Into The Woods," and sounds glorious on the cast recording of "Nine." I'm also in love with her take on "Beautiful City/Day By Day" on the Stephen Schwartz Album. Laura was also great on that sitcom last year, though the name escapes me. She is a fine actress with a glorious soprano which rivals many.

Favorite part of being a teacher? Well, it's days like today. I teach 5th grade, and they are the oldest children in the school. Today was the last day for them, and many have been here since Kindergarten. At the end of today, I read "Oh the Places You'll Go," and 3 kids promptly began weeping. As a teacher, you don't often find out how appreciated you are until well after the fact. These were kids who have given me lots of trouble all year, and now, being faced with not having me around, they can't hold it together. The academic learning is actually secondary to the emotional and life learning that goes on in every classroom. I'm also a big fan of manners, and teach them all year. By the end of each school year, my kids greet every visitor with "Greetings and Salutations," and they would never, ever think of omitting their 'please' and 'thank you.'

Foster knows what my favorite color is, and I'm sure Addy does as well, but I'll say it for y'all. My favorite color is PINK. It's bright, it's elegant and I always feel bright and breezy when I wear it. My students also know that real men wear pink. =)

Pride Weekend was last weekend Foster, and sadly, I was working my 2nd job. I just bought a condo and there's rent to be paid, kittens to feed, martinis to drink, and "Color Purples" to attend.

Congrats to you Princeton! I hope you enjoy the day!

Questions about caffeine and sweets (a few of my favorite things)...

What's your Starbuck's order? Alternatively, if you are not a Starbucks fan, but it waas the only place within a 10 mile radius to obtain a beverage, what would you order?

What's your favorite ice cream?
