I have trouble feeling sorry for someone that made sure to say in the press "I was ready to drop $10,000 on a dress!", and also had Anna Wintour to call for backup. I agree that this was for publicity, especially since she knows exactly what size she is and how hard it is to shop for her size. Like someone said before, start shopping earlier! Or if you have so much dang cash, have someone make you a dress! I have a friend who's a nominee this year and has been in years past and has nowhere near Marissa's cash and yet has been able to have gowns made for her for the Tonys."
