Thanks, Jane! I have pictures of my other walls at home; those are just the ones that were already uploaded onto the internet.
1.) What is your favorite musical
Les Miserables. You know how there are moments in your life that you can pinpoint and say, "That's when I changed forever?" Seeing the tour of Les Miz when I was 10 is one of those moments for me. I've since seen it on Broadway, in London, and on tour again--it never loses its power. I have all 4 English recordings, the DVD, Les Miserables Stage by Stage on VHS, and the French concept.
When I was little, I put on a baseball hat and a bathrobe and smudged my face with pencil lead so I could be Eponine. Closet door was off Stage Left, bathroom door was off Stage Right, and my bunkbed was my barricade. I had the entire score memorized by the time I was 11.
I was lucky enough to do the show in high school and I will be forever greatful for the chance go play Whore 1. Someday, I hope to fulfill my dream of playing Eponine, but I'm not holding my breath.
2.) If you could sing only one song in any genre, what would that one song be?
"On My Own," of course. Or "All That Jazz." I love being all sexy and sultry--it's so much fun!
3.) What is your favorite position . . . to sleep in?
Curled on my side with my arm under my pillow and the stuffed dog you can see on my bed in the crook of my other arm. All my toy dogs are named after characters in To Kill a Mockingbird. That one is Boo, because he's different than all the others (he has curly hair and my other stuffed dogs don't). Even more offensively, I named the black lab Calpurnia
Babe, I thought I told you never to call me that!
How did you come upon our darling BWW?
Honestly, I don't even remember. My first REAL memories of BWW are how excited I was to discover BroadwayWorld Radio.
In all likelyhood, I followed a link from broadway.com
As to how I returned, I was bored at work this past November and started lurking again. Thanks to the Confessions Thread I became hooked and the rest is history.
So when and why did you take a hiatus? (I thought I didn't see you much win I was "young" you are the type I would have remembered.
)
But most importantly, if a movie were being filmed of your life, who would play ME? (right Miss Pennywise? )
I guess, who would play you as well?
And Why?
So when and why did you take a hiatus?
I never really surfed that faithfully, and certainly never posted. I just didn't ever really find my niche, so I moved on to different websites to procrastinate on. I probably stopped around February '04.
But most importantly, if a movie were being filmed of your life, who would play ME?
Bob Dylan, of course. You are Dylanesque, after all
I guess, who would play you as well?
And Why?
I would play me because I'm a diva, a spotlight hog, and I simply can't think of an actress that's as out of her mind as I am.
But if it was a cartoon, I might let Joey Lauren Adams do the voice over
congrats!
Alright, Kitz, I may not be around much tonight because I have to pack. So, you get your questions now.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the best gift that you’ve given someone? That you were given?
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives (and me)?
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year (not counting me)?
If you could be anyone you wanted to be today, who would you be, and what would you do (excluding me)?
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out (besides me)?
I had half of these answered with really in-depth answers and my computer crashed. Goddammit!
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
That I'm a loud, fun girl who loves to have a good time, but that I have a serious and intellectual side to me as well. I have a very dry sense of humor but a big heart and I truly care about other people. And since the most important people in my life are my family, they'd be accurate
My friends would say that I'm loud and crazy and love to party. They'd be half right. Only the really close ones see the other side of me. I've been burned by friendships in the past and I don't really open up that much to just anyone. Sometimes I feel like "Reflection" as sung by Christina Aguilera should be my theme song.
Look at me, you make think you see who I really am
But you'll never know me
Every day, it's as if I play a part
Now I see if I wear a mask I can fool the world
But I cannot fool my heart
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?
A beautiful song, and one that most young women can probably relate to.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
I'd love to take lessons in either ballroom dance, swing, or salsa. It just sounds like a lot of fun.
What’s the best gift that you’ve given someone? That you were given?
I love giving presents, so they're usually well thought out. A recent example is what I brought back from London for my dad. I gave him a picture book about Paddington visiting the Tower of London (my dad read all of those books to me and my brother when we were little; did different voices and everything) and a teddy bear in a Beefeater's uniform. He loves bears and is a complete Anglophile, so I think I did a good job.
Best gift I've received? Picture it. Wichita, KS, 2001. Kitzy's 16th birthday. A box brought out at the last minute. It's huge. Inside is an envelope. Inside the envelope, a Backstreet Boys birthday card. Inside the card, two tickets to see the band in Kansas City in August. It was fantastic.
My parents have this lovely habit of waiting until all the presents are opened and then bringing out one HUGE present that you neither expected or asked for. It's very "A Christmas Story," and they're usually so extravagent you can't believe they did it. Last year I was surprised with a new comptuer. For my 18th, a tv and dvd/vcr player.
Kitzy = spoiled brat
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives (and me)?
My friend Graham, because he can make me laugh like no one else.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year (not counting me)?
The production of Godspell I did this summer. Our director was INCREADIBLE, the staging was sublime, and everyone was perfectly cast--not one weak link in the entire ensemble.
It was so moving for me, especially from a spiritual perspective. I've been questioning my religion a lot lately, and doing this show brought me closer to God than I had been in a long time. They weren't just killing an 18 year old--it was my FRIEND, my teacher, my master, my Lord. I fell to my knees sobbing every night. There was no acting during the cruicifiction at all. On the last night, everyone including Jesus was sobbing during the communion scene. It was an experience I'll always remember and treasure.
I've never done a show before or since that I wanted to have a longer run; no matter how great the show, I'm too tired to do any more performances. Not Godspell. I could do that show with that cast for the rest of my life and be happy.
If you could be anyone you wanted to be today, who would you be, and what would you do (excluding me)?
I'd be Tom Cruise. I would let Katie Holmes free, expose the truth behind Scientology, and stop being a douche bag. I would then publicly appologize to Brooke Shields, Matt Lauer, and Nicole Kidman for being an ass. I'd then give my money to charity and settle down to raising my children and stop making bad movies.
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out (besides me)?
My dogs. Except one is a Golden Retriever, so I would put him on a leash and run while carrying the Eskie in my arms.
YAY KITZ!!! On my way home, I was thinking how you would be such a great CotD...and I come here and you are!
You are so deserving!

"Have I ever mentioned that I'm not a big fan of The Wizard of Oz?"
Kitz - I'm going to keep celebrating you, but . . . well . . . YOU'RE JUST LUCKY IT'S YOUR DAY!!!
Kitz declared: "Who am I kidding? I love James Lipton."
Okay, then why isn't he on your list of 5 people whose voices need to be heard? Hmmmm?
BTW, if this is true, and you really do love him, then you're weirder than I thought you were.
In fact, there's only one word to describe you: splendelicious.
Ok typical Caitie questions
If you could hook up with any bww poster who would it be?
Any Male celebrity?
Any female celebrity?
Congratulations Kitz! There's no one I'd rather see my husband flirting with.
Kitz, congratulations! If you like the adorable Alan Cumming, then you might be familiar with Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion - in which case my first question is - which one (Romy or Michelle)would you be(assuming either one could end up with Alan Cumming)?
Next question - If ever you're afraid to face the day, or a person, or an event - what special thing do you do to get your courage up? A special song or anything?
And - do you have a favorite star? If not, would you like one. (Actually, by now everyone should assume they are getting one unless they ask me NOT to!!)
Ok, going to do this last round of questions and then I'm off to do costume changes. I'll be back later tonight
If you could hook up with any bww poster who would it be?
Are you freaking kidding me with this one?! All the ones I love the most are gay or married. Therefore, a non-issue.
Any Male celebrity?
God, can I name a bunch? Alan Cumming, Ewan McGregor, Colin Firth, Brad Pitt, Elijah Wood, Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyellenhall....I can keep going
Any female celebrity?
As previously answered, Carrie-Ann Moss.
Yoda, you are too kind. If I had a husband, I'd let him flirt with you too!
Which one (Romy or Michelle)would you be(assuming either one could end up with Alan Cumming)?
I'm sad to say, I have not seen this movie. I will pick it up on my way home and give you an answer in the next few days.
Next question - If ever you're afraid to face the day, or a person, or an event - what special thing do you do to get your courage up? A special song or anything?
I have anxiety and used to have night terrors when I was little that would keep me from sleeping. Finally, my dad wrote out a bible verse that I pinned to my wall. Whenever I'm really afraid, I say it to myself. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." --John 14:27.
Also, I picked up the superstition of crossing myself when I'm nervous or scared. I'm not even Catholic, but I cross myself before tests, before getting on airplanes, backstage...wherever.
And - do you have a favorite star? If not, would you like one. (Actually, by now everyone should assume they are getting one unless they ask me NOT to!!)
I never thought of this before, but I think I picked out a good one. In the novel Mary Poppins there's a chapter where Maia, the second of the Pleiades, comes down to Earth so that she can do her Christmas shopping for her other sisters. That book is so utterly charming; I'd love to have a star associated with it.
I am loving your answers. I enjoy that great dichotomy between silly/fun/other and serious/introspective that is YOU.
It has been great to get to know you better both here today and over the past few weeks.
You are an exceptional person.

"You are an exceptional person."
Even if you don't like THE WIZARD OF OZ
She is young, life has been kind to her... she will learn.
How can anyone not love Kitz? I honestly do not think it is possible
Oh great. I return to the boards and this bitchlette is queen of the day?
Just kidding love - congratulations, blah blah blah. I'd gush over you more, but it's not like your head needs to swell any larger! Hope you've had fun so far! Question...question...Favorite BWW Idol moment/song? Least favorite part about London? And are you from the same city as the BTK killer? (I was watching an A&E docu on him a few days ago, and I went, "The resemblance is striking!")

I love how half of Tiff's congradulations are insults.
Well she IS Canadian.
Which i love
I won't refute your guys's jabs. I've seen what your country people do to those nations with resources individuals who piss you off.
Kitzarina, what an amazing choice - it is so cool that you know the second star of the Pleiades! I learn so much on this board! Maia is a nymph and a goddess of spring - your birth month was named for her. The Pawnee of the Kansas plains called the star cluster in Taurus the stars of unity. Here is your beautiful blue star among her sisters. See the small star-pair near the top, sort of right center. Below them are two much larger stars, and Maia is the lower left of those two, the larger one, with a tiny companion star just underneath her.
