yoda! speech! speech! you have the floor! ...
Sorry I am late on this, but I just got home.
YAY, YODA!!!! I am so proud you were chosen. You are definitely one of my favorite people on the message board. Your posts are always funny, poignant, insightful, etc. In short, will you marry me?
Question time:
1) What is your favorite cereal?
2) What did you want to me when you grew up?
3) First date?
4) Favorite book of all time?
If you had the opportunity to "dream cast" any show, what show would it be, and who would be in the cast?
Since it's actually a possibility this is my dream cast for A Little Night Music:
Desiree: Victoria Clark
Fredrick: Kevin Kline
Anne: Lauren Molina
Henrick: Benjamin Magnuson
Madame Armfeldt: Angela Lansbury
Charlotte: Jan Maxwell
Carl-Magnus: Marc Kudisch
Petra: Kelli O'Hara
I would watch it...
twice a day for a year.
spiderdj82:
1) What is your favorite cereal?
Currently I'm all about Vanilla Yogurt Burst Cheerios
2) What did you want to me when you grew up?
So very many things over the years. In elementary school I primarily wanted to be an archaeologist, later a marine biologist, photographer, or teacher.
3) First date?
Eighth Grade, I went to see Sommersby with the guy I was "going with."
4) Favorite book of all time?
Beach Music by Pat Conroy
Congratulations Yodamarie78! It's been fun reading your answers and getting to know you better.
What's the best thing about being a librarian and is that what you are getting your graduate degree in also. And are you staying in NYC when you are done and why?
Kitz, London is on my list of places that would actually be a step up from living in New York, but I guess I need to visit before commiting to live there.
Caitie, I'm so going to take you up on that!
Cturtle and Elphaba, my MLS Cheerleaders! Don't you guys know that modern librarians are young, hip, approachable, and never shush people! Poor librarians have a long way to go in overcoming such stereotypes.
Zyla and Patronus I'm sure that the wonderful, mature people who post on the Harry Potter thread have much more to do with the respectful tone than I do. Plus Tiff sets such a wonderful example!
And what about my marriage proposal? DENIED!!!

bwayaddict: What's the best thing about being a librarian and is that what you are getting your graduate degree in also.
The books of course! I love that it's my job to handle beautiful old, rare books. Yes I'm getting a Masters in Library Science with a concentration in Rare Books and Special Collections. The best part is the number of amazing collections I've gotten to see up close through my classes.
And are you staying in NYC when you are done and why?
That depends upon where I get a job after graduation. If I can find a decent job here we'll stay, but if the perfect job comes along somewhere else I'll probably leave and just hope to get to come back some day.

spiderdj82: And what about my marriage proposal?
Spidey how many other BWW women have you proposed to? I need to be the only one, I'm very needy! Besides I don't think your wife and my husband would appreciate the polygamy.
have you ever stayed at THE LIBRARY HOTEL? which floor? which room? if you haven't, which floor/room would you WANT to stay in?
LIBRARY HOTEL
hahaha. Touche'!
What is your favorite day of the year and why?
This year it was Thanksgiving, because we stayed here, no one came to visit, we cooked dinner for ourselves, and just relaxed. Also we’d just met a wonderful couple of friends.
The standard 5 people (alive or dead) at the a dinner party...who would they be and why?
Pat Conroy again, I would love to dine with him and discuss the beauty and flaws of the South.
John Shelby Spong, I want him to talk about his religious philosophies.
Keith Olbermann, Jon Stewart, and Bill Maher, they can talk amongst themselves and I’ll be thoroughly entertained.
Favorite soda?
Cheerwine! The best thing about living in North Carolina was actually being about to get it.
Who would win in a fight between puppet Yoda and CGI Yoda?
Puppet Yoda would totally kick CGI Yoda’s a*s without even having to lift a finger.

How do you feel about Shoshana Bean?
I hate riffing and found her less than compelling in the acting department.
WWLD?
Show you my book.
OH MY FREAKIN' GOD!!! I love Cheerwine. There is a place here that I can get it in glass bottles. Pure Heaven. God bless the South for this one reason.
have you ever stayed at THE LIBRARY HOTEL? which floor? which room? if you haven't, which floor/room would you WANT to stay in?
I haven't but I really want to! My immediate thought is that I want to stay in the 800s, in either 800.004 or 800.005, but 1000.001 and 1100.006 are pretty tempting. Maybe for my wedding anniversary one of these years (hint Penguin hint).
I don't understand "hints" you know that.
Here is a question
Are you and Penguin sitting like right next to each other right now on your computers?
Do you ever sit there and start IMing each other instead of talking?
Congrats Yodamarie!
Btw, I had no idea that you and Penguin were married in the real world. I just thought you guys were bww married.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
If you could be anyone you wanted to be today, who would you be, and what would you do?
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
Are you and Penguin sitting like right next to each other right now on your computers?
Yes, we're sitting on the same couch at the moment.
Do you ever sit there and start IMing each other instead of talking?
It has happened, but doesn't very often, mostly because I don't get on IM much.
It's a very comfy couch too.

I first worded it as a question but I didn't want to be jumped on for instigating a private conversation so I made it a statement instead.
You know, I just realized that you and penguin are married. Where have I been? Awww . . . that's so cute. Penguin, just to let you know I was drunk when I proposed to your wife. Fists are not necessary.
