Have a wonderful day! And good luck getting the tiara away from cturtle, that mild mannered librarian is awfully attached to it.
Congrats, SG! I hope the cats will treat you with respect tonight. Knowing JJ, she's likely to leave you a "Gift" on your pillow, though.
Three cheers!
Are we going to have to bring back Confessions Thread? Because I simply insist on knowing all the dirt on this lovely CotD!
Congrats SorryGrateful! Enjoy your reign! Hooray!

Kitz, I miss that thread! I've never learned so much about Jaily.
Thanks, cookie! I certainly will enjoy your new avatar.
And bway, JJ always leaves me gifts. Today isn't special. It's a good thing she's so cute.
See, you started the thread that's responsible for me getting hooked on BWW! For that alone, you should be CotD!

Hooray for SG - a fellow cat person, who always entertains me with her witty posts, and the perfect choice for today's celebrity! Have a great day!
You're always sorry,
You're always grateful,
You're always wondering
What might have been--
Then she walks in.
And still you're sorry,
And still you're grateful,
And still you wonder
And still you doubt--
And she goes out.
Everything's different, nothing's changed.
Only maybe slightly rearranged.
You're sorry-grateful,
Regretful-happy.
Why look for answers
When none occur?
You always are what you always were,
Which has nothing to do with, all to do with her.
You're always sorry,
You're always grateful,
You hold her, thinking:
"I'm not alone."
You're still alone.
You don't live for her,
You do live with her,
You're scared she's starting
To drift away,
And scared she'll stay.
Good things get better, bad get worse.
Wait, I think I meant that in reverse.
You're sorry-grateful,
Regretful-happy.
Why look for answers
When none occur?
You'll always be what you always were,
Which has nothing to do with, all to do with her.
Nothing to do with, all to do with her.

OK, I don't think I can say thank you enough. You all are so sweet! You're going to make me cry.
And I'm really glad that I was picked on this lovely day because most of my bosses are in D.C. and I can spend lots of time here on BWW. Yay!
What is your ideal meal, SG? And your favorite comfort food dish?
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/10/05
Ideal meal? A really well-done good steak and some garlic mashed potatoes followed by strawberry shortcake. Followed by flossing and brushing.
Comfort food? Definitely popcorn. I curl up into bags of it when I don't want to deal with anything. Ask katygrace. She makes fun of me for it. I especially like Pop Secret Homestyle.
I'm in Company right now and love sitting and listening to "Sorry Grateful." Is that your favorite Sondheim song? If not, what is? And what's your favorite Sondheim show?
In the spirit of all that is pompus and overblown, I bring you a questionare which has been answered by many a celebrity here at the Actor's Studio. Created by Bernard Pivot, they are probably the most important questions ever posed by humanity.
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
4. What turns you off?
5. What is your favorite curse word?
6. What sound or noise do you love?
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

After seeing Company in Cincy and seeing it for the first time ever, I truly think it's my favorite show. I loved it for the music and it's the second Sondheim recording I ever bought, so I've had it with me for awhile. But after hearing the music with the book, I know it's my favorite now.
Sorry-Grateful probably is my favorite song, not because I'm married or anything, but because I think I'm the sort of person who's always sorry and always grateful. Of course, it's so hard to pick a favourite song from the freaking genius known as Sondheim. But we'll go with Sorry-Grateful for today.
Geez, I am verbose today.
If katygrace makes fun of you today, SG, remind her you are CotD and that that is forbidden...

What are three things (not people/animals) you couldn't live without?
Music definitely.
My copy of Lolita that I've had since high school that's sort of worn and very loved.
My copy of selected works of Edgar Allan Poe because it was the first book I ever bought with my own money. It's about 16 years old now.
