Katy - because you were ever so helpful in providing not only a profile, but a blog site as well
congrats, kg.
what are your top three worst ways to die and why?
Going off the LBD/Tiffany's theme, who are your top 3 favorite fashion designers and why? Are there any up-and-coming designers that you feel have potential?
Food, wine and conversation. Winning combination, I'd say!

Congrats Katy!
Others always come up with the interesting questions, so I'll leave that to them, but in your honor, I'm going to see Dan Rydell, I mean Josh Charles, at the Steppenwolf tomorrow night.
Enjoy your day!
YAY KATY!
It's been such a pleasure getting to know you lately. And I'm glad to have passed on the Esparza love.
My favorite comfort meal dish would have to be my mom's veal scallopini. Which she never makes with veal, by the by.
A right smart one you are there, DG. I look forward to your questions.
Only you would ask a question like that, papa. I always remember my dad saying that he would never want to die by hanging because "you **** yourself." So I guess hanging is on the list. I also would never want to die from Lou Gehrig's disease. And I've always been absolutely terrified of fire so I guess that would round out my top 3.
Kitzy, I've always loved the BCBG line. Maz Azria is just wonderful. And sometimes I can actually afford his stuff, which helps. I've always had a thing for Badgley Mischka and Michael Kors as well. As far as up and comers, I can't tihnk of any off the top of my head.
Emcee and StageDoor!! The just keeps getting better and better!!! I have a quote for you, Stage: "Jealousy will rear its ugly head. It'll rear its ugly head, it'll look around for a bit and then it'll eat Tokyo."
Sorry if I'm a little slow in my responses. I'm sorting through three months of my boss's receipts to do his expense report.
Katy, here's a poser: What would you like your legacy to be?
I realize it's a bit general, but you know...be extemporaneous here.
katy..what inspires you?

Katygrace,
I'll save you (for a little while) from answering any questions from me. Let me just wish you a wonderful day - from me and from all those handsome men in uniform!
Very nice! My brother's girlfriend just bought a BCBG dress for prom and it's gorgeous.
Call me old fashioned, but I've always been a Chanel girl myself
Congrats! Enjoy your day!

Congratulations, Katy! Here's hoping your reign as 'Broadway World Queen" will only make your indomitable spirit stronger and your sparkling disposition brighter!
Here are some questions for you. Since you are a writer, I'm sure you have some strong opinions about the following:
1. What is the "famous quote" that is most meaningful to you? To whom is it attributed? Why does it mean so much to you?
2. Which 20th Century work of literature is—in your opinion—the single most brilliant contribution to the art form? And why?
3. What is your favorite poem? Why?
4. If you were stranded on an island with 3 fictional literary characters, whom would you choose and why?
5. What 3 songs make you cry every time you hear them no matter how many times you hear them?
Have a great day!!!!
Miss Pennywise
Actually, bway, that's not a tricky one at all. First and foremost, I would like to be remembered as someone who was always true to herself. No matter what people say or do to try to change who and what I am, I want to be known as someone who always followed her instinct. I would also like to be known as someone who brought happiness to others and who was loyal to friends and family.
What inspires me? People who do great things with crappy circumstances. People who create things that inspire others. And music. Music is VERY important to me.
DG, everytime you ask this question I try to think of who I would name. And the answer is that people with public voices are always heard by someone. I would like to see private people be heard from more often. The first is my mother. She is an absolutely amazing woman who has taught me a great deal through both her words and her actions. She has actually spent the last 12 years working for the government advocating for victim's rights and helping victims get through our crazy criminal justice system. She brings so much good and so much hope in places where it is most needed. I would love to see her have more of a voice.
Another is my great-aunt Helen. Partially because she's such a pistol, partially because she's so funny and partially because she has lived so much and is still going.
I'll have to think a little longer on the other 3.
I have to say that I feel so truly blessed to see so many wonderful people here. Hugs for all of you!!! And GO CUBS!!!!!
1. What is your favorite sandwich filling? Right now it's hummous. LOVE hummous!
2. If you could have a super power for one day, what would it be and why? I would want to be able to teleport myself anywhere so that I can visit friends.
3. What will your epitaph say? It finally only took gravity to hold her down.
4. What are the last three books you read--and would you recommend any of them? Anthony Rapp's "Without You," a book called "Roommates" that was given to me by SG, and "Red Light Winter" by Adam Rapp. They were all wonderful. Go get them!!

To continue answering DG's question, my brother is another person I would love for more people to know. Although he probably wouldn't know what to do with the spotlight if he had it. He's faced more hardships than anyone his age should have to and he's come out of it fabulously. He's certainly an inspiration to me and he could be to others, as well.
1. What is the "famous quote" that is most meaningful to you? To whom is it attributed? Why does it mean so much to you?
"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." e e cummings
This is what I aspire to. I even have it on a t-shirt!
2. Which 20th Century work of literature is—in your opinion—the single most brilliant contribution to the art form? And why? Oh golly! This is a tough one! My first thought is Eliot's "Wasteland." It's not at all an easy read. It challenges to the reader to look harder not only at the text itself but to dig deaper into past works to find more meaning. Eliot showed great reverance for the masters before him in a way that puts him closer to them in importance. To me, this is an amazing feat.
3. What is your favorite poem? Why? Oddly, not "Wasteland." Or even "Prufrock," though I love that one, too. My favorite is by Edna St. Vincent Millay. It's one of her numbered sonnets that begins, "I, being born a woman and distressed" Here's the link: http://www.poetry-archive.com/m/sonnet_millay.html Once you read it, I'm sure you'll know why i like it. I love Millay because she took the traditional form of the sonnet and used it to express very non-traditional views.
4. If you were stranded on an island with 3 fictional literary characters, whom would you choose and why? Elizabeth Bennet, Helena and Hermia from "Midsummer." What fascinating, strong women!!
5. What 3 songs make you cry every time you hear them no matter how many times you hear them? "Finale B" from Rent, "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton and "Song Sung Blue" by Neil Diamond.

Congrats katy! I hardly know ye, so this will be quite interesting...
If you were a pair of shoes, any shoes, what shoes would you be and why?
I would be a pair of black, knee-high boots. With a 3 inch heel, of course! They're sassy, versatile and naughty without being vulgar.
