Katy - I am loving reading your answers. It's obvious you respect language, and are very capable of beautifully conveying your thoughts - wonderful.
And personally, I love your approach to my question - especially the fact that you choose to focus on your family. That's something that seems to be slipping away in our 'culture' (used VERY loosely) and it's refreshing to see your love so easily expressed.
Katy: If you could choose to go back in time, what time would you go back to?
Katy, I love ABB. She is remarkable. I imagine she must be a hoot AND a nanny in person.

oooh katy... you had me a 'sassy without being vulgar.' *swoon*
girl got style!
Don't let her fool you; she's a wee bit vulgar. But I wouldn't have her any other way!
Thank you, DG. Coming from you, that means a great deal to me. There have been so many truly remarkable people in my life. I wish everyone knew them like I do.
Cookie- I'm not sure I would want to go back in time. But I always say that I was born ten years too late. So perhaps I would go back to the mid 90's so I could be the age I am now in that time instead of the age I was then.
hush your mouth, bway!
katy, if you could have anyone over for dinner, living or dead, who would it be and what would you serve them for dinner?
He does have a point, though. There are times and places in which one must be a lady and times and places where it's okay to be, um, not. One of my favorite sayings is "Una dama en la sala, una punta en la cama." ( I hope I just got that right. my Spanish is pretty rusty.)
Bway- think you can get ABB to NYC the same time I'm there so we can invite her to out get-together?
It should be 'puta.'
Punta = point
puta = something else entirely.
una punta en la cama se puede dolor mucho
Depende de cual punta estás hablando...
Ok. Enough with the threajack.
Back to Katy.
Hmmm...any dinner guest I want, eh? I'm going to go with the one that was destined to show up somehwere and say Anthony Rapp. Why? Because I think he's just a wonderful writer and an incredible role model for young people. I would just love to pick his brain. And he seems to be really funny, so I bet it would be a fun as well as educational dinner. I'm not sure what i would make. I haven't mastered any vegan meals yet, although I'm trying to learn a few.
Why vegan meal? Are you vegan or is he?
Just dropping in to say CONGRATULATIONS to Katy and the other MBCotD's that I've missed while on vacation.
2 minutes left on computer...back on sunday...love you all...gotta go!!
Oops, double post. Didn't think it worked the first time.
'Twas a screwed up computer I was on...
Oops again.
He is. I'm just trying to eat things that will actually help my body as opposed to hurting it.
I always find interesting the various reasons people opt for a vegan lifestyle. My friend I'm going to dinner tonight does it mostly because of his opposition to killing animals for food, and eating any animal products, but for him it has nothing to do with actual health, considering he smokes and drinks.
I don't really know her. I just read her blog and fawn over her.

Where do you go when you want to feel most "spiritual" or at peace?
If you had a chance to teach a group of immigrants about life in the US, what three positive things would you stress?

Good to see you, Broadway_Baby!! You are missed!!! Safe travels!!
Bway, I know you don't know here, but in my world you have special powers and, thus, could make just about anything happen.
DD- I'm not really eating vegan as much as I'm just trying to eat healthier and more organic (when I can afford to). I don't oppose killing animals for food, but I am opposed to the way most animals are treated and killed. Killing for sport and/or mistreating animals is just plain wrong as far as I'm concerned.
Katy, sweetie, I love your world. And it's fun reading your answers! You know, there's a lot I don't know about you!
Speaking of vegan places, if you want, we'll go to a good place I know when you come out here.
And then we'll go have cupcakes.
And hot chocolate from City Bakery.
and...
Woo. Sorry. Threadjacking of the food kind.
Question: if you could go back to one moment in your life and change its outcome with a different action, what would it be?
