DG, the only problem with that is that I know I'll be duking it out with Robbiej for the plum Dolly role.
Well before we get into the questions, I feel I need to say something about Bwaysinger. This time last year, neither of us were on the other's radar. We had no interaction on the board at all. Then, in March of 2005 I came to NYC for a month and Addy arranged a select gathering. Bwaysinger came along and we hit it off instantly. We spent a lot of time hanging out, getting drunk, talking about boys and being bitchy gossips, trashing anyone who we thought deserved it.
Then, as most of you know, I came back for a three month job hunt in the summer. And that's when I discovered just how great and true a friend Singer could be. There was a whole side to him I hadn't seen, the caring, introspective, deep and thoughtful side. I don't know if there is any other New Yorker whose wavelength I am so in tune to. We have an innate understanding of each other's moods, knowing when to back off and leave well enough alone, but also knowing when NOT to. In short, he's an absolute diamond, a dear friend, and I can't wait to get back to NYC and see him and the Elphapug again.
I go away for a bit (to actually work) thinking I have until 10 and look what happens!
Yeah, Yippee, Yahoo and Yowzer Bwaysinger!!!!!
A special guy! A special day!
I love that picture and I'm loving this tribute.
Once again, Yay bwaysinger! :)
Code Champagne !!!!
Congratulations, Sweetie! You're one of the first people I met in person, and you're still firmly planted on my list of favorites.

Congrats bwaysinger, Enjoy your reign.
Somms, thanks so much! I'm still going ot hit you up for CV advice, I swear.
And, damn you, Poppy. Damn.You.
I am in an overly hetero environment and I had to go walk away for a second so the Brokeback gang over here wouldn't see me cry.
But thank you. I throw those comments right back at you. Love you, man.
We need a magic closet party!
Code Champagne, indeed!
Pop the Veuve!
Iflit, thank you so much. You're beyond special, I think you know that.
And thanks to you, too, Wexy!
Can we petition for an ex-Celebrity board, where all the hoary old folks go to retire and chew on their gums while their false teeth soak?

bway - I think I've said this before, but this is a good time to repeat myself. Your Botticelli hair is a wondrous, miraculous thing.
And that pic is ADORABLE!

okay, Bway - some questions that were asked of me. Now it's your turn:
What's the first thing (drink) you got loaded on. Where was it?
What do you think is the silliest word in the english language (or a few of them)
What are three things you think every person on here should remember?
What's your favorite pig-out food?
Where and what was your best meal?
And have you ever had a surprise party? if so, tell us about it and if you were actually surprised
Congrats Bwaysinger! You are awesome.
DG, thank you. I've never had anyone refer to it by that before. I hope you don't mind if I co-opt it.
Thanks, Smart Penguin! I'm glad you stopped by.
Addy, give me a few minutes to mull these over (in between payroll; geez, who'd a thunk singing a high c is easier than figuring out the chicken scratch on these time cards?!?) and I'll get back to you.
I have started this post about 5 different times now and can't begin to properly express my excitement. Bway, you were my first real friend on this board and you have remained one of the truest. My day is a bit empty without you in it. There are no words for how excited I am that you are being honored today.
Kate, dear, I love you. Very, very much. Move your midwestern butt to NYC, pronto!
ok, here's my SUPER long response to Addy's questions. Grab coffee.
What's the first thing (drink) you got loaded on. Where was it? It was a frozen lime margarita in Old Town in San Diego. It was during grad school. Yes, I was a late bloomer, which probably explains my continued lightweight position towards the finer drinks in life.
What do you think is the silliest word in the english language (or a few of them)
I’ve always giggled over chestnut.
What are three things you think every person on here should remember?
Every person here? Well..
We’re all human.
We all have feelings.
Some of us lie. A lot. They don’t have feelings.
J
But the REAL three things I think everyone should remember are:
Love yourself.
Love everyone else (and treat them so) the way you would like to be loved (and treated).
Lastly, a little quote you told me once. And I paraphrase, I’m sure: why walk when you can dance? Why speak when you can sing?
What's your favorite pig-out food?
Heh. Like you have to ask. I could eat guacamole for every meal of every day. A close second if a specific brand/flavor of hummus of which I currently can’t get enough. It’s Sabra’s Supremely Spicy hummus. If I catch any of yous guys at Fairway stealing my stashes I will cut you.
Where and what was your best meal?
Wow. This is completely impossible to answer. I will say, though, that moving to NYC and dining out for 75% of my meals has opened me to some absolutely fantastic meals, from simple places (like my favorite Thai restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen) to that WONDERFUL meal at Marseilles to the fabulous Mexican at Rosa Mexicano. I think, though, that the best meal(s) I’ve ever had would be one of my mom’s holiday dinners, especially those in recent memory. After my first year in NYC, I flew home for Christmas. It was only going to be me, my mom and dad and my brother and his fiancé (now wife). My mother cooked enough for all of our neighbors and it was, perhaps, the best Christmas dinner ever.
And have you ever had a surprise party? if so, tell us about it and if you were actually surprised.
I’ve never had a 100% surprise party. I’ve had parties numerous times where I was told something was going on but not what. I actually patently hate surprise parties as I don’t like being put on the spot like that. I get over it quickly but I get kind of moody (go figure) and upset if something is sprung upon me.
Congrats bwaysinger!
We haven't really chatted a lot, but I really appreciate how kind hearted you seem. I recently received a PM out of the blue from bwaysinger encouraging me with my weight watchers journey and I really thought it was a very nice gesture from someone I've never really interacted with.
Enjoy your reign as MBCotD, you definitely deserve it!
Congrats to everybody's favorite buddy (with the best hair on Broadwayworld) from the originator of your tribute post.
You can always count on bwaysinger to help peel you into a cab when you've had one too many...even if he does take some long lingering delightfully inappropriate gropes.
(Or was I just a little drunk?)
Enjoy your day--Miss Holly salutes the Elphapug, who has already received more attention than Miss Holly did on PalJoey's day.
Congratulations! From what everyone has said so far, it looks like you are someone I need to get to know better. I look forward to learning about you today

Congrats, my dear!
You guys are going to get me fired. Oh, well, unemployment's as good as my current salary.
Patronus, it was nothing special. I've seen you post despite our lack of interaction and I think I was just moved by your fear/loathing/dread of getting this ball rolling. But you did it. And you're making progress. And I think it's worth celebrating. As much as I can post and have "thread spew" (you know, one too many simple-minded comments on a thread), I like the one-on-one quality a PM can have to really say what you mean to a person without having it offered up here for general consumption (and digestion and regurgitation). So that's why I PM people out of the blue.
congrats, bway.
a hypothetical:
a biological agent has been released in your workplace. it's 100% lethal and wildly contagious. for some reason the call from the authorities is routed to you and the situation is explained to you. a panic button exists which will engage a hermetic lockdown off the entire building. you alone have the power to seal the building thus insuring that the agent will only infect its inhabitants, but knowing that doing so, you condemn the entire population of the building to death. however, if you don't seal the building, you will release a contagious disease for which there is no vaccine or antidote that will at minimum kill thousands in the immediate surroundings, but at worst will kick off a global pandemic of black plague proportions.
do you seal off the building? why or why not?
PalJoey – re: the cab. Anytime, my man. I can only hope you would do the same for me. Given that I wasn’t too far from your state, I don’t honestly even know how I got you in there in the first place. J
Kitzarina, feel free to pull up a comfy chair and sit around. I’m an open book today, which, as Addy knows, is a bad, bad thing sometimes. J
Brdlwyr, I appreciate, as always, the compliment!
Hypertruffle, thank you! I have to tell you, a friend recently showed me a hushbootleghush of the original cast of Nine. I’ve seen the fabulous Anita Morris perform in other videos (and films) but I had never seen her “Call to the Vatican.” I can safely say it’s the best showstopping moment I’ve ever seen from a supporting cast member. So your avatar tribute is a beautiful thing.
Thanks for dropping in, Papa. Boy, you don’t lob softballs, do you?
a hypothetical (truncated): do you seal off the building? why or why not?
Absolutely no question for me. I seal off the building. The why? For the greater good. If I unequivocally knew that there were less inhabitants in this building who would die as opposed to outside citizens who would die before an effective evacuation, I would push that button without hesitation.
BWAY!!
I love you!
And we really need to hang out because I miss you and Elphapug!
