I love that you are the Mardi Gras celebrity!
Are you wearing lots of beads and having a party?
I actually did wear beads and a mask to class. I told you it was like theater to me! lol
Congrats SOMMS!
Somms - I'm not at all surprised.
Mamie, great questions.
1. What is the happiest, most secure memory you have?
I never really had security. My family dynamic was not one of warm fuzzies. I was beaten almost daily for being gay from the age of 6 to about 13. I did always feel safe when reading a book. I am a voracious reader to this day.
2. When you were little, did you play hide and seek? Did you have a favorite hide out?
As the oldest of four, I was always the seeker. My baby sister once hid on a five inch window sill behind a curtain for four hours. My mother had everyone in the neighborhood out searching for her and called the police.
3. What is the proudest thing you have done in your life?
I went back to school seven years ago for a second master's degree at night and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Getting an A is Statistical Analysis was not only a miracle but a huge personal accomplishment.
4. What is the one primary thing you would like the world to know about you?
I care so much that sometimes it hurts.
5. If you were given the ability to cure one (and only one) of the world's great ills, which would you choose?
AIDS
6. We are each the architects of our own heaven. What's your heaven going to be like?
A huge party with all of my favorite people in attendance.
Congrats SOMMS. You always have something interesting to say!
I'm blushing from toe to head Undie. That truly is the perfect compliment coming from you -- being a women of beauty, sophistication, intelligence and wit yourself. And yes, snort laughing through the Hallelujah Chorus can be deliciously fun!!!!!
I would cast myself in The Amazing Race. I've applied as a contestant twice.
Evening squashes for Mr. Celebrity
Thanks Cookie! (HUG) I've never been here at this hour. I'm feeling breathless and giddy from the adventure.
Aren't the dynamics of the late nighters different?
Have you been asked your favorite beverage? Alcoholic and non?
I'm truly honored that you came in from Camp Whathappensherestayshere to say hello Jose. Sell those deliciously naughty pics of RobbO! He's dead to me! We can build a nice little retirement villa for the rest of us off his sweet little behind. It just seems right!
I love the night life Cookie!
I have not been asked about my favorite beverages. Alcoholic would be a Very Dirty Vodka Martini, non-alcholic would be Southern Sweet Tea.
served in a Mason jar and with a sprig o' mint?
I've had one of those at Pitty Pat's Porch in Atlanta!
Us Yanks have 'em here as well! Daisy Mae's BBQ over on 11th Ave and 48th...
I just like saying Pitty Pat's Porch! Tee hee!
Positively perfect from the Peach Pit!
Thank you for your kind words Namo, Kringas, Mom, Wexy, Sumofallthings, Youwantitwhen?, Junglered, Shameless, Grizzabella, Harris (you brought me chicken ... YOU DO LOVE ME!)
and VBPlayer.
The answer to your question: I would like to hear your wish for the world in 2006.
I wish that Brokeback Mountain would win the Oscar and that every world citizen would embrace homosexuality because of it.
That, or the war in Iraq would end.
One last huzzah for SOMMS-y!
Good answer SOMMS....! You so deserve this recognition.
SOMMS,
My heartfelt congratulations...sorry I am so late in arriving at the party.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your answers and have some follow-up questions.
1. Tell us about your absolute favorite Miss America Parade "Shoes"! (I guess you need to explain what I'm talking about for anyone who doesn't know about "the shoes.")
2. This is a hard one: Top 3 Philly restaurants and why.
3. How often have you been to the Cartwheel in New Hope?
4. Favorite museum in Philly and why.
5. Tell the truth: The first time you saw the sign for the store in New Hope called "Toys for Men," were you disappointed when you walked in and saw what it actually was?
6. What is your favorite poem?
7. Name your favorite street in Philadelphia.
8. Did you see Tommy Tune in Bye, Bye Birdie at the Forrest?
9. Did you ever volunteer at WXPN? (I used to work there!)
10. Did you ever hear of the World Game Institute (which used to be on Race Street behind Drexel) or actually play the World Game?
BTW, the story about how you chose your BWW name was hysterically funny...and now I am no longer afraid of you! (The actual Son of Sam scared the hell out of me.)
Miss Pennywise
A great big good morning hug for SOMMS!! I hope you enjoyed your day to shine. So I raise my coffee mug to you on this fine chilly morning in one more toast in your honor!

It was fab, Boobs! Thanks again for selecting me. I'm still torn between three for my selection but will go with my gut when the time comes. It's how I select dinner off a menu too!
Now onto the answering of Miss Pennywise's questions. I may need two KKs.
