A six-minute gap between double posts?? Ouch.
Good responses, YWIW.
Hmm...what other questions...
Well, I didn't follow the thread this is based on, but how about this - you've got two weeks to live and an unlimited amount of money. (You'll die suddenly and peacefully.) What do you do?

No questions, I just wanted to congratulate YWIW. Anyone who has a picture of their pets as their avatar has to be a great person!
And a belated congratulations to all celebrities of days past. I'm not familiar with that many people here, so I haven't jumped in before.

Well, my cats are the closest thing I have to kids, which is in its own way, a bit sad, but they are what I have - and I love them to death.
Tiff, to answer your question . . .
I think I would not go crazy with spending, but would eat foods I really like and indulge my taste buds for two weeks. I would wear sweat pants for two weeks straight.
I think I might take my sisters and my mom on a dream trip and try to settle some still open wounds from when we were younger. We have come a long way to doing that, but have not quite gotten to where we need to be. Most of it is on me for failing to let go of old hurts.
I would make sure my two "kids" had some very good homes.
And, there are a couple of friends that I would need to try and come to terms with so I could go knowing that I did everything I could to try and tie up loose ends.
And, then, I would have a great party and fly everyone I cared about, or who cared about me, in, and have some great wine, great food, great music and laugh the final night away. I probably would do it at my folks at, because that was such a cornerstone for so many friends of mine and I to meet and play growing up.
And, thanks everyone so much for the kind words and thoughts!

My kind words: Y is the best BWW boardlawyer!
YWIW-I love what you said about the sweat pants. I'm wearing elastic waists all the time these days. My questions- If you do have any favorite photographers or artists, who are they? What is your favorite subject matter to photograph?

YWIW - you are amazingly touching in your ability to get right to the core of what you wish to express. It's very moving to read, because it resonates with so much truth. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings.
Brdlwyr - I think you have the title of best lawyer on this board firmly in your grasp for now and the foreseeable future. I don't have to deal with clients, court dates, or billable hours, so in many ways, I have not been a "real" lawyer in years. I am just a good old corporate hack trying to make sure my company does right by the law and its customers.
Jane - The only bad thing about sweat pants, is you don't realize to late that butt has grown by leaps and bounds! I know from experience. I actually like a lot of Miro's works, and also love Chinese art. I do not know the artists, but I can sit in a museum and view some of the scrolled art for hours, as well as all of the intricate wood sculpting/art and jade pieces. I have this amazing scroll I bought while in Beijing I keep waiting to find a big enough place to hang. I also have an ood fondness for Winnie the Pooh lithographs and figurines. Go figure.
DG - coming from you, I take that as a very high compliment, as I think you are one of the most eloquent people on the board. After years of trying to figure it all out, I finally realized that if you look inside yourself, you usually know what is right for you. We all make things much more difficult than they need to be (myself included in that royal "we").
And, still loving Bette.
Yay YWIW?!!!
Among many other things, this thread has also made me realize that I’m still pretty clueless about most of the people who post at bww.
YWIW – I know it’s beginning to sound clichéd, but I have to say it anyway. I’m really enjoying getting to know more about you. Thanks for sharing.

A golden 'Good Morning' for our gold-star celebrity!
Good morning, YWIW!
Here's my question:
What is your favorite lawyer joke?
Ahhh DG thanks. Yet another picture that made me smile.
There was one the owner of a record shop had in college of Bette in a bed of Roses - it is one of my favorites! But a golden Bette, that pretty much tops it! I really like the contrast of the black opera gloves.
And Shameless, I only know much about 8 posters on this board well, so I will join you in the clueless line.
Miss Pennywise: What do you call a 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean . . . a good start.
Off to feed the foghorn and the squeak. Foghorn (aka Stoli, the big grey cat) is about to eat my hand . . .

congrats!! your kitty pictures always make me smile
I want to emphasize this once more, YWIW. Your answers are so extremely articulate. As DG had said, you're very good at wording your answers in such a way that they are truly meaningful and deep, but simple enough for the average student to understand. Once again, thanks. Eloquency is a trait that I only dream of having.
Thanks Aigoo.
It is actually funny you should say that. One of the things I have to do for my job is bring complex legal issues down to a very basic level so that people who provide customer service can understand them when they are dealing with people on the phone. For some reason, it comes very naturally to me and people who are normally uncomfortable talking with our in-house attorneys will call me when they have questions. I just figure that I had opportunities they did not, which does not mean for a moment that I am any smarter than someone who only has been through HS. Most attorneys talk above everyone's head, and their audience does not understand the issue explained. In fact, many attorneys as well as other successful people I have met lack so much common sense, or feel that for some reason they are entitled to their success, that they drive me nuts. Brdlwyr of course has common sense and eloquence, and is down to earth, so he is the exception to this rule.
I am sure you have the same trait, but do not recognize it in yourself. I often feel very inarticulate compared to some of the more cultured people on this board, who have substantially more experience in the arts than do.
And DG - awww Bette in a bed of roses. I am going to cut and paste the pictures a save for when I am in a bad mood or have had a bad day to bring smile to my face
Me, Grace and Henry wish you a happy weekend!
Princeton, back at ya from me, stoli and Zorra!
Good afternoon to our celebrity in the midst!
Favorite and least favorite "known" restaurant in LA?
What’s the last “great” gift that you gave someone? That you were given?
Tell us something that you think we’d be surprised to know about you?
Favorite known restaurant - Border Grill in Santa Monica or Water Grill downtown.
Least favorite - Pink's - I am too damn old to eat those hotdogs, and they revisit you every few minutes when you are down.
A great gift I gave someone - my mom. For her birthday and mother's day I bought and then installed a new receiver for her stereo system. It is something my dad would have normally done. And, now, when she listens to something she loves, she will think of me a little.
The last great gift I received? My parents for my birthday a couple of years ago had framed a poster that I had that had hung on our kitchen door, and then was given to my grandmother, that says "War is not healthy for children and other living things" as well as text from a T-shirt I bought at the Holocaust Museum that contains the Dante quote "The hottest places in hell are reserved for those, who in times of great moral crises maintain the neutrality." Those two quotes in a nutshell express some of my fundamental beliefs.
What would surprise you? I have my own website (which I need to update desparately) and I voted to recall Gray Davis.
