Shameless - such a list of questions!!!
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
Well, since my three dogs love sleeping with me I would like them next to me so I wouldn't miss them.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
Going to New York City over spring break and seeing 13 shows in 9 days and recently watching my newest granddaughter's birth
has given me great pleasure in the past year.
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
I have been married almost 40 years and had 7 children and 8 grandchildren so far. Three of my children are still not married.
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
Besides my dogs, the most important things that I would hate losing in a fire are family pictures. Pictures are such an important part of a family's history!
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
If you asked my husband he would probably say that I'm a little crazy.(he doesn't understand my theater obsession) But If you ask my children they would say I'm very loving and would do anything for my kids. They both would be right!
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
I would love to do something on a broadway stage. I really can't sing but I would love to be able to just be part of a performance and experience being part of a broadway show.
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?
My daughter really wanted to start collecting teapots so for Christmas I bought her one from ebay. She was so excited opening it that she dropped the sugar bowl and broke it into a million pieces. She was devastated. On my Washington DC trip recently I went into an antique shop and there was an almost identical sugar bowl, so I bought it for her. She was sooo excited.
My gift that I really love is my TIVO my family bought for me this last X-mas. They also purchased the plan so I do not have to pay for anything monthly. Love my TIVO

"I have been married almost 40 years and had 7 children and 8 grandchildren so far."
Addict, my dear, if we were just sitting next to each other in a coffee shop and started chatting, I would NEVER guess that you were old enough for all that. You have so MUCH youthful energy!
Hold on Fabrizio, I haven't got to your questions yet. I will get to everything in time. My daughter is home so I'm now going back to my home. Babysitting has been fun. New babies are sooo cute. Will get back to answering more questions soon. This CotD is hard work.
DG thank you for the compliment - I was a child bride..well sort of..and thankfully I still feel very young. Also congratulations on not smoking. I feel very strong about not smoking since my mother died so young from lung cancer.

It's fine, I was halfway kidding...when I noticed you hadn't gotten to other people's questions as well.
I don't know what it's like to have kids but I'm sure its hard work...
Best wishes...

Fabrizio, yes it is hard work!!!!
Congrats Addict! I am swamped today so maybe questions later.
Did you get the storms that blew over Lake Michigan last night???
What are your top five theatre experiences so far, addict?
This is sort of a difficult question for me as someone has said about me "You would love it if they sh__ on stage! As I have said I do try to find the positive but I don't think I am that bad!
I did not get to New York until 1998 and the first show I saw was Titanic. So that was memorable because it was my first show.
Since then a few of my favorites have been:
The Full Monty
Urinetown
Raisin in the Sun
Nine
The Pajama Game
Jersey Boys
Okay, Fabrizio
What's the naughtiest thing you have ever done on BWW?
The naughtiest thing is to enjoy reading the naughty threads sometimes when I actually see them before they get deleted. My life is mostly boring but I don't mind that because as I've discovered excitement is sometimes not all happy.
What is your favorite Pop-Up ad?
I'm good at ignoring pop-up ads. After raising 7 kids and working in the school district for 17 years I'm very good at tuning out unwanted stimulus.
Paper or plastic?
Funny you ask. I work part-time at the local grocery store to support my broadway habit so I ask that question on a regular basis. I personally use both for various reasons. What I hate to hear is paper inside of plastic please. Avoid those people at all possible. lol
Thanks DD for thinking of me for CotD. I was very surprized and am having a great time answering all the questions!
If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be and why?
I would be a Birkenstock..I love them and my favorite thing about my trip to Europe last summer was my visit to the Birkenstock factory. I think I bought 6 pair.
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
I would have Oprah over for dinner and serve her marinated flank steak, grilled potatoes, salad and one of my special homemade pies.
If we went out with you and your best friend, what story would he/she tell us about you that you wouldn't have told us yourself?
That I drowsed through Drowsy Chaperone!
And now my myspace rip-off questions:
What goal would you like to achieve this year?
Pay off all credit card bills!
Your weakness?
Procrastination
Your biggest fear?
Serious illness or death of a close family member
First thought waking up?
Where's the coffee?
Do you shower daily?
No - don't tell anyone
Have you been in love?
Yes, I have been married 40 years on Sept 3. Believe me after that many years love is more than an emotion!
Do you get along with your parents?
Since my parents are both deceased I will answer do I get along with my children. The answer is yes. I don't always agree with everything they do but I love them unconditionally!!!
Coffee or Tea?
Coffee
Cats or Dogs?
Dogs
Okay, now dinner is over and kitchen cleaned so now I can concentrate on finishing questions.
Miss P - Thanks for the picture of Michigan Theater in downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. I have been there. Saw a very good show put on by University of Michigan students..some of which are doing some Broadway now. Mostly though that theater is used as a movie theater. Thanks for being my BWW friend and am so glad that we're also friends in "normal" life.
Hey, Mamie, glad you found your way to the thread to celebrate my CotD Day! As for your question; Do I snore?
I refuse to answer that question as it might incriminate me!
Peach - Thanks for the good wishes
What's your Starbucks (or other preferred coffee shop) order?
I do love Starbucks and my usual order is Non-fat latte grande
What's your favorite ice cream?
My favorite ice cream is Breyer's vanilla
Girly, Thanks for the questions. One for you...what are babci's
If you won a few million in the lottery, what would be the first few things you'd do?
First off, I would pay off all our debt. Then I would retire!
I would also help my daughter pay off her law school debt and distribute the funds to all family members with financial needs. My husband would also make sure that we would tithe the proper share to the church.
Which do you prefer, Sunrise or Sunset and why?
Sunset because the day is usually over and you can just relax and know your work is done for the day.
What was your favorite t.v. show when you were growing up? Now?
When I was really young I loved the shows like The Lone Ranger, Rin Tin Tin, & Lassie. Later it was The Ed Sullivan Show and American Bandstand. Now it's Grey's Anatomy. I love that show and think it has some of the best writing I have seen in a TV show!
What was your favorite song in high school?
I was a big music lover in high school. I was really into the folk music. Puff the Magic Dragon was one of my favorites and I still don't really think that song had anything to do with drugs.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Some of my favorite toys were lincoln logs, tinker toys, and the original lego building blocks and I also really loved Barbie dolls.
LOL! Addict, Babci is Polish for grandmother. Mine used to make Kluski for most of her soups.

Thanks, Baddy. I'm deeply grateful for your friendship as well.
When I was young, I thought being "normal" was a bad thing. Now I know that "normal" means "healthy"...and that's a really, really good thing.
Another "Cheers!" to one of my healthiest friends (even if she does get "drowsy" from time to time.)
Goodmorning everyone - After a great day as the celebrity, my night ended on a stressful note as my computer malfunctioned. So this AM I am at my daughter's house (she lives next door almost) so I can finish my day and name the CotD. Then I have to go buy a new keyboard because the new puggle pup Walley chewed through the cord. Ugh! Why did I get another dog?!

Who gets the weekend slot?
Thanks everyone for adding to my MBCotD. I had a great time and hopefully people were able to find out a little about Bwayaddict.
