Ooops..I always forget the "17"..hee hee.
Congrats WYOU !!!! I know you'll enjoy wearing this crown all weekend.
I'm glad that BWW will now get to know you more about you.
1) What inspires you?
2) If you could spend the day with 1 person (dead or alive), who would it be and what would you talk about?
3) If you were putting together a scrapbook of your life...what are things that you would include?
Posted: 9/8/06 at 11:06am
And a surprise, since I haven't posted much since I left my internship (and 8 hours a day in front of a computer) to start school. I wish I was less of a sporadic poster in general, and I'll try to show up much more often from now on.
Wow, boobs, couldn't have started off with some easy questions, huh?
1) What inspires you?
Well, obviously theater. I get very excited about great writing. And especially great dialogue. And performers who just BECOME the character to the point where I have trouble seperating the actor from the part. An example- Rosalind Russel is Auntie Mame, such a perfect marriage of character, actress, dialogue, and delivery. I could watch a performance like that all day.
2) If you could spend the day with 1 person (dead or alive), who would it be and what would you talk about?
I have had a huge infatuation with Bernadette Peters since early childhood. The PBS Into the Woods broadcast was in our VCR constantly for a number of years. While that tape also led to a huge respect and appreciation for Stephen Sondheim and Joanna Gleason, I'd say Bernadette is the one I would spend my day with, but after a few mumbled words about how much I love her, I have no idea what I would say. I'd have to wing it. Runner-ups would be Sondheim, who I would talk musicals with, and Joss Whedon, who I would talk Buffy, Angel, and Firefly with.
3) If you were putting together a scrapbook of your life...what are things that you would include?
I have played some roles in some school productions I am quite proud of. Max in the Sound of Music, Bobby in Cabaret, Cletis in Lone Star, Jeremiah in Kafka's The Castle. So certainly programs for those shows. And the script I wrote for a movie I filmed with my brother and cousins as a Christmas present for the family. It was an adaptation of A Christmas Carol. That thing is so full of inside jokes and family references that it doesn't play very well now (8+/- years later) if you weren't there at the time. But it holds a special place. Family is awfully important, after all. And that movie is even better than looking back on family photos (and even more embaressing to show friends than family photos... ; ) The rest of the scrapbook would have to explain some of my odd obsessions and favorites. I adore Shelley Duvall in the movie Popeye. I have an autographed copy of a Donna Loren (60's beach movie actress and former Dr. Pepper girl) CD. Cordelia Chase (played by Charisma Carpenter) on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the show Angel is my pick for most interestingly written TV character...ever. My boyfriend and I have been known to quote Parker Posey and other actors from Christopher Guest movies to each other...in bed. And, most recently, I have been working Desperate Housewives dialogue into conversation (mostly Marcia Cross' Bree Van De Kamp and Harriet Harris' Felicia. I don't have any idea how to scrapbook all of that, but it would have to be in there somehow.

I think Max is my absolute favorite of all you've done.
Christmas Carol script is a definite for that scrapbook! I'd forgotten about the Donna Loren obsession.
I'll be back later. Have fun!

It would have to be Into The Woods. Sentimental reasons. I could watch it over and over again, and I HAVE watched it over and over again. The Broadway cast, London cast, Revival cast, and audio from the entire PBS broadcast are on the iPod and are regularly played.
If you won a few million in the lottery, what would be the first few things you'd do?
Paying off school loans is the unfun answer. Next would be a house. Some little girls dream about planning their weddings from childhood. This boy dreams about decorating his own house.
Which do you prefer, Sunrise or Sunset and why?
I think sunsets are prettier. But I love looking out the window and realizing you've stayed up late enough to see the sun come up. Happened a lot that first year of college.
What was your favorite t.v. show when you were growing up?
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is my all-time favorite show. But Saved By The Bell probably would have been my answer growing up.
What was your favorite song from grade school and high school?
I was not big on radio or popular music until after high school. I was aware of it, but I was pretty emersed in musical theater. I can tell you that the first album I ever bought on my own (well, it was a cassette) was Alanis Morisette's Jagged Little Pill in (I think) 6th grade. I love all of that album.
First year of college was very much the year of Outcast's Hey Ya, though.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Fred. He is my Cabbage Patch Kid. He is a bald, blue eyed preemie. His adoption papers were filled out by my mother, so even though I am his legal guardian he is actually a few days older than me.
What's your favorite soft drink?
I am nor a big soda drinker. At all. Not big on carbination. But I drink a lot of green tea.
Do you have a pet?
We have a dog. Puppy, really. Her name is Cordelia, or Cordy for short.

Question: do you prefer lacrosse players or soccer players?
Posted: 9/8/06 at 4:02pm
Question time!
If you were a pair of shoes, what shoes would you be and why?
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
If we went out with you and your best friend, what story would he/she tell us about you that you wouldn't have told us yourself?
And now my myspace rip-off questions:
What goal would you like to achieve this year?
Your weakness?
Your biggest fear?
First thought waking up?
Do you shower daily?
Have you been in love?
Do you get along with your parents?
Coffee or Tea?
Cats or Dogs?

Starbucks order?
Favorite ice cream?
Posted: 9/8/06 at 5:26pm
That's a tough one...I'll have to think about that...
Question: do you prefer lacrosse players or soccer players?
Of the two, soccer players. But otherwise it's all about a certain hockey goalie for me.
If you were a pair of shoes, what shoes would you be and why?
Orange Crocs. Comfortable, practical, unique, bold.
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
My boyfriend and I would love to have Patti LuPone over for a big Italian dinner. Food, wine, stories, profanity. I feel like that would be fun.
If we went out with you and your best friend, what story would he/she tell us about you that you wouldn't have told us yourself?
I don't think there are too many embarressing stories out there that I haven't told myself. If you own the story and really make it a fun one, it's far less embarressing.
What goal would you like to achieve this year?
Do a few shows, graduate college.
Your weakness?
I'm polite to a fault and a bit too non-confrontational for my own good.
Your biggest fear?
Heights are a big own, but I still go on plenty of roller coasters, so it must not be such a controling fear.
First thought waking up?
Love the boyfriend
Do you shower daily?
Usually. Days with early morning classes sometimes get skipped if I'm running late. And I wash my hair every other shower, not every day.
Have you been in love?
Yes. Still am.
Do you get along with your parents?
Yes, and very well.
Coffee or Tea?
Tea. Raspberry Green Tea is my favorite.
Cats or Dogs?
Dogs. Slight cat allergy.
Starbucks order?
Most often a Strawberries & Creme (I'm not in the mood for coffee very often, especially if it isn't cold outside.
Favorite ice cream?
Rita's Mango Ice. And Chocolate Fudge Brownie. And Vanilla with chocolate syrup and strawberries. Alternately.
