Cake or pie?
Pie all the way. Love pie. My mother makes a ridiculously good peaches & cream pie.
How do you see your dream house?
I'd love a Victorian house. And I want to have a formal dining room and a library. And the library must have floor to ceiling books, which necessitates a rolling ladder (this has been part of the dream house since childhood- see Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson during the song Eglentine in Bedknobs & Broomsticks) And a solarium, like Sheridan Crane was often seen in. And I'd like a dumb waitor, a spiral staircase, and a secret passage from the conservatory to the lounge.
What is your favorite role you'd one day like to play (soon as you get cast on Broadway)?
I have no idea what role that I am actually appropriate for would be currently. I tend to spend most of the imagining time thinking of roles I won't ever be cast in but would love to do. The very top of my list of dream roles is the Baker's Wife in Into The Woods.
Which is your favorite Broadway songwriter/songwriter team?
Sondheim is certainly my favorite. Which isn't to say that I'm snobby. The iPod is very represented with Coleman, Kander & Ebb, Schwartz, Webber, Flaherty & Ahrens, Simon & Norman, Finn, Rodgers & Hammerstein (or Hart)...it is certainly an all around love of theater. I also am a huge fan of the Disney, and Alan Menken's music gets a lot of play.
What do you do first when you wake up in the morning? ("getting up" doesn't count)
More often than not, the first thing I do when I wake up is check the clock and sleep for another 10-30 minutes.
If you were given the power, which past Broadway production would you undo so it never could have happened?
There isn't any production I have ever seen that I would completely undo. Terrible shows have had great performances. Awful scores have given us good individual songs. There is no production I have ever seen so devoid of merrit that I would take it back.
That said, I suppose there might have been revivals of plays or musicals which ultimately could have been avoided. But I am fortunate enough to have never sat through a Broadway production in which I found nothing to be entertaining. There is always something that, for me, made it worth the effort.

I SO appreciate all the memorials... Let's put them in the threads that exist already and leave this one until tomorrow for it's purpose. Thanks

1) What Inspires you?
2) If you could spend the day with 1 person (dead or alive) who would it be and what would you talk about?
3) If you were putting together a scrapbook of your life...what would you include in it?

My question: Do you look anything like Angelina? Because in my head, you are her.

Congrats JG2!
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you?
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?
