1) What Inspires you?
Thank you, James Lipton. The parents of the kids I work with. I am also inspired by the kids, but they are happy in their worlds. The parents are the ones that have to fight and sometimes I just don't know where they get their strength. I don't know if that makes sense.
2) If you could spend the day with 1 person (dead or alive) who would it be and what would you talk about?
Jesus. I would want the real story. I would want to know the truth of his life and if he had any idea of what would be done in his name after he died.
3) If you were putting together a scrapbook of your life...what would you include in it?
Many many pictures of the wonderful friends I have been lucky enough to have. And condoms.
What is your favorite role you'd one day like to play (soon as you get cast on Broadway)?
I wanna play Eva Peron, dammit.
Which is your favorite Broadway songwriter/songwriter team? It's a cliche, but I am a Sondheim girl.
What do you do first when you wake up in the morning? ("getting up" doesn't count)
Sigh. I usually check my email.
If you were given the power, which past Broadway production would you undo so it never could have happened?
Cats. It was the first BIG show I saw and for a while, I thought Broadway must suck.
Do you look anything like Angelina? Because in my head, you are her.
Yes, just like her. (Not at all. I am chubby chick.)
If you were recuperating in a hospital, who would you want in the bed next to you, excluding relatives?
Ellen Degeneres.
What has given you the most pleasure in the last year?
Moving. Being able to see that NYC skyline whenever I want. Sitting outside at Dip in Manhattan in the spring, watching everyone walk by and being absolutely amazed that this is where I live. (Regionally, of course.) Oh, and my job?
What's something that we would be surprised to learn about you? I lived the first five years of my life traveling on a carnival. (Grandparents owned it. Parents ran it. There were no freak shows or animals. Just really trashy carnies that worked for us.)
If your house were on fire, what would you grab on the way out? Now I would grab my laptop. When it burned down when I was 17, I grabbed my cat.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
I asked her. She thinks I am giving, loving and funny. Eh, I think she's pretty accurate.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
Had a baby.
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? And, that you were given?
A few years ago for Christmas I spent three months crocheting my grandmother a blanket. She cried and calls it her most prized possession. The dad of the kid I work with gave me a video iPod for my birthday this year. That was pretty sweet.
