Undi – Oh, I know – It’s NEVER too late for anything! One of my favorite stories last year was that 91 year-old (I think that was his age) who decided to become an actor, got headshots and moved to LA
At this point, the reason I wouldn’t do it is simply that I wouldn’t want to commit to a regular schedule for anything. And ultimately, I’ve figured out that, for myself anyway, every moment and interaction is an opportunity to learn and/or teach.
Moony – have a wonderful time – I’ll be working in my garden a bit today.
Pip – I HAVE been known to enjoy bringing a nice rosy glow to young men’s cheeks . . .

This needs to be back on page one...
Question for the celebrity: You wrote about the Arts & Crafts Movement last week and have discussed your dream garden...what dream house is next to that garden?
Clean lines, minimalist?
Victorian painted lady?
California bungalow?
Southwestern adobe?
None of the above?

Definitely California Bungalow - but kind of the 'expanded' versions that Greene & Greene designed. I'm absolutely drawn to the woodwork, the 'inviting' nature of the layout - I just need a bit more room for all of our STUFF!
While there's a part of me that could move into the Gamble House tonight, I actually prefer the Culbertson House (1902) around the corner. It's also Greene & Greene, but it's all one story - and that is more appealing to me. And there's the most glorious old-growth Wisteria that grows over the pergola at the entrance

What Broadway musical would you like to see a revival of?
Definitely PORGY AND BESS - with Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Eric Jordan Young.
Barring that, a full-scale production of THE GOSPEL AT COLONUS would be acceptable (with Dennis Haysbert, please)

Undi - well, I AM sipping scotch, and I actually AM putting a real smoking jacket on when I go outside to have a cigarette - it's chilly here this evening! And yes, it really is a real velvet smoking jacket with silk lining - a friend gave it to me because she said it was 'appropriate' for me!
And for all the time I HAVEN'T been able to be outside in the sun, I might as well be in B&W
