Wishing you all the hoopla you can handle!
Your passionate posts always inspire-and as always, it's fun to see you in the "real world" too!
Happy PJday, you pinko Commie tool. Or are you just a sloe-eyed vamp?
That's pinko, Commie FAG tool, to you, Miss SueleenGay!
PJ - which election was more painful - 1994, 2000, or 2004? And why?
I prefer to remember the election of 1992--and read my signature to know what it felt like that Election Night--AND WHAT IT WILL FEEL LIKE AGAIN ON ELECTION NIGHT 2006 and 2008!
Name one Republican, living or dead, that you admire. And yes, you do have to choose one.
Okay--my vice president: the Honorable Barrack Obama. My admiration for him is (so far) unbounded).
And Undi--the live interviewee would be the relentless--and relentlessly principled--Patrick Fitzgerald!
My question to Patrick would be: "Can we PLEASE put Karl Rove in jail?"
My question to Judy would be: "Would you please sing 'Rose's Turn' for me?"
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Could somebody PLEASE re-post Namo's comment about PalJoeys avatar? Something about legs up in the air...

I no longer have to take the time to read "The Nation". Instead, I just flip through threads started by PJ. It's what I love to do.
What type of work do you do?
I'll pass. As Etoile constantly tells us, we should not reveal personal information on the board. All of my friends on the board know--and if you're not my friend yet, let's have a cup of coffee or a drink and we can talk about theater and gossip and complain about our jobs.
What type of work would I like to do?
Easy. I would like to direct plays again. My education and training were in writing and directing for the theater, and that's what I did for a (difficult) living until I was 30. I cherish all of those experiences, and I would love to do it again--but never, EVER again do I want to make my living doing it!
Name one Republican, living or dead, that you admire. And yes, you do have to choose one.
Well, as I have posted in some political threads, I am actually a registered Republican! I re-registered as a Republican to vote AGAINST George Bush in the New York primary.
But I was actually raised as a New York liberal Republican--remember those? Socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Nixon, Reagan and Bush obliterated the liberal wing of the Republican party when they courted the previously apolitical bigoted religious right.
But back in the 60s, there were wonderful liberal Republicans in New York: Nelson Rockefeller, Jacob Javits, John Linday, Roy Goodman, Fiorello LaGuardia.
Sadly, I don't think the Republican Party will ever be like that again.
Oh and thank you, Margo and touchme and Eddie and brdlwyer 'n' all for the kind words.
Let me say that if Addy is the Heart of BroadwayWorld, Margo is the Wisdom of BroadwayWorld. You always know when you see one of Addy's avatars post that the post will make you--or someone else--smile. And you always know when you see Margo's avatar that you will learn something.
And liotte--I AM nuts! But as Gracie Allen once said, "Aren't we all?"

Congratulations, PJ. Heaven knows we don't agree on everything, but I admire your energy and optimism. Enjoy your day.
PJ, PJ, PJ.....
A friend, a good listener, a tireless champion of what is right and wrong....I couldn't be happier!
I'm raising a pink drink to you and handing over my crown for a few hours.
MY questions...
1. If you had the power to shut down one currently running Bway or Off-Bway show...which would it be?
2. Donald or Martha...whom would you rather see in the White House?
PJ! I couldn't possibly be happier that we're now honoring you! When it was my turn I was asked which 5 BWW'ers I would share a lifeboat with. As God is my witness, the first one who came to mind was the voice of our political consciousness - PalJoey!
Almost 50? You're a baby. Take it from this former 60's love child (who still has some of her love beads from those heady days) having a poster here who cares more for his country (and countrymen) than so many others from the 'me' generation is morally and emotionally WONDERFUL!
BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO!!!
Late to the party, but hooray for PJ as CotD!
Fab, fantastic, and swellegant, is he!
Bling out with the Cristal! Cheers!
1. If you had the power to shut down one currently running Bway or Off-Bway show...which would it be?
2. Donald or Martha...whom would you rather see in the White House?
Oh, I wouldn't close down anything. I get sad when shows close--even bad ones.
And Martha, of the two. How does that little bit from Merrily We Roll Along go? "We're bringing back styyyyyyle to the White House!"

I think my message got lost in the cracks. Anyway, congratulations, PJ. :)
Pal Joey, I hope you are having a wonderful day!
I love reading your threads and hope that someday I shall grow to have your optimism.
As it is I just ask that you use your considerable power to:
1. Bring indictments against Rove and Cheney in October.
2. Bring upheaval in the House and Senate (20 house seats, and 6 Senate should do it.)
3. Impeachment.
There you go, now finish the celebrations today and get to work.

Kneidelach! Cookie, you definitely know your culinary cures.
I meant to send along my get well wishes too. That chicken soup Cookie sent will do you a lot of good. (I do think you should let me have the latkes though. I'm starving and you're sick, so.....)
Does one feed a cold and starve a fever? Or is it the other way around?
I feed everything. Again - that's why I'm back on Weight Watchers.
PalJoey... such a fine gentleman, someone whose (sp... I can't remember how to spell it right now) opinion I truly value, even though I don't participate much I always read his political threads.
Three cheers for PJ!
Yay - finally someone I will comment on for this thread! (not to say the rest of you aren't great as well!)
I make it a point to read every thread PalJoey starts, because it is ALWAYS something of interest to me. He's funny, well-spoken, well informed and interesting.
:)
Thank you Plum and Mamie for the good wishes--and wexy and bdwaygirl broadway_baby and bwaysinger (it gets SO confusing!) and anyone else whose questions I didn't answer or congrats I didn't acknowledge. It's EXHAUSTING being royal!
SmartPenguin--from your mouth to the ears of Patrick Fitzgerlad, Harry Reid, the Congressional Democrats, the media and each and every AAmercian voter!
And MJR--I think you meant to say, "He's funny, well-spoken, well informed and interesting...and I love having him wrapped around my little finger."
And thank you, Cookie, for "blinging" me some real Lower East Side matzoh-ball soup. (I know that "blinging" sounds like a terrible racial slur but Cookie knows it isn't!)
And boobs--thank you for the tiara. I googled to see if I could find a picture of Dolores Gray wearing a tiara--but look what I found instead:
Whose got the better legs? Cyd or Dolores? DOLORES!
And how yummy is that little Michael Kidd? Mmmmm... almost as yummy as that big MJR!
Okay, somebody ask me about Leonard Bernstein!
