OMIGOSH,
It's a wonderful Storytime day on the CotD thread. No wonder PalJoey's name kept popping into my head last night. :o)
What an amazing life you have. Is a memoir in the offing?
Enjoy your reign--you are PERFECT for this honor. :o)

As Auntie Mame says, "MY memoirs, MY memoirs..."
Of course I'm writing my memoirs--and just like James Frey, not a WORD will be true!
But Mast--YOUR memoirs would be the REALLY scandalous ones!
KelRel--Sondheim and No No Nannette are RARELY put together. Someone on XM must read BWW!
Beacon--this is FUN!

Posted: 2/7/06 at 2:56pmThe wonderful thing about being our age Peej is that embellishments are rather expected and more easily forgiven. I'm loving your stories this afternoon.

In your honor, I am humming Climb Every Mountain all day long. Even though we both know that to have climbed just one is plenty...
Congratulations to a comrade!

SOMMS, you could not possibly be as old as PJ? Did you know that he and Sondheim were in high school together?
And, I was downstairs and saw Mayor Daley, I told him that you said hello. Actually, I saw his car and muttered your name.
Any thoughts about the fact that Chicago has a conservative Democratic mayor and NYC has a liberal Rebulican mayor?

PJ, What was your first Broadway show? What was that experience like?
On the political side: If you were ever given the opportunity to speak with Bush face to face, what would say?

Many congratulations to you, PJ!
Now, here's the most searing question you'll have to answer today:
Boxers or briefs?

iflit, jaily--come on in!
undi--have you ever seen the Matha Raye/Judy Garland medley from Judy's TV show? The DVD has all the outtakes. Martha is so funny that Judy keeps cracking up.
brd--I have no idea what the NY/Chicago nexus means...excpet that the Rapture is coming.

Dollypop--boxer briefs.
"PJ, What was your first Broadway show? What was that experience like?"
My first Broadway show was The Music Man, with Van Johnson. Someone can go to IBDB, but I was a little too young. It was a Sunday matinee on Easter Sunday, and the lady in front of me was wearing an Easter hat, so I couldn't see. I was perfectly polite all the way until "Wells Fargo Wagon," at which point I said as loudly as I could (which was pretty loud), "I CAN'T SEE!"
She took off her hat.
"On the political side: If you were ever given the opportunity to speak with Bush face to face, what would say?"
Everyone knows what I would say. The question is: What would HE say?

#3368MBCotD - PalJoey
Posted: 2/7/06 at 4:38pmYes, I do the same thing. I say very loudly, "QUIET!"

Congratulations, PalJoey! Thanks so much for working to help keep the board politically-conscious--your posts are always enlightening. Enjoy your day as a celebrity.

Thank you, SweetestSiren--and nice to meet you!
And cookie--I see we've switched from Cristal to Veuve.
Fine actually...I think Cristal is overrated.
