I like Bluemoon's question!
Ok, I'll ask one about theatre: What shows/musicals have made an impact on you... and why?
aw, feel better, PJ! I'm so sad that deli is closed.
First question: when did you first fall in love with George Bush?
Oh, I've been in love with the entire Bush family since I participated in an Act-Up die-in Labor Day 1991, Kenebunkport. I bought a polo shirt that says "Summer White House." It's one of my prize possessions
Favorite drink, favorite dinner and book?
Favorite drink is Champagne. Dinner is any dinner with friends and good conversation. Book is hard...since I'm around so many. I think I'd have to go back to my childhood and Ira Levin's Rosemary's Baby. (My literary tastes are a little trashy.)
What art do you like and do you have any hanging on your walls?
Any 16th- and 17th-century art with "chiaroscuro"--the mysterious interplay of light and dark. But on my walls are usually theatre, film and travel posters--and maps.I LOVE maps.
PJ, who do you most admire and why?
Anyone who says "yes" to life, in the face of life unending no's.
If you could have any super power what would it be and why?
The power to heal. No reason.
Would you like some champagne with your Theraflu?
YES! In fact...is 10:27 too early for Champagen? (What would my boss say about Champagne on a sick day?)
I'll be right over!
Congratualtions to a man whose sharp wit always keeps me entertained.
Have a great day, PJ!
What shows/musicals have made an impact on you... and why?
As I have posted on numerous threads on the main board, I was 14 when Company debuted on Broadway. (Yes, do the math! I'm 50 this month.)
I wandered in and my life changed. I saw the show 4 times, memorized every word from the OCR and became a Sondheim freak. Sondheim's sophistication about relationships became the bedrock of my attitude toward love--even though I was only 14. But I would quote "The Little Things You Do Together" or "Sorry/Grateful" or "Being Alive," and I was quite world-weary.
When Follies opened, I became even more obsessed, dragging anyone and everyone I could to performance after performance. The nostalgia craze was on, with muscials like No No Nanette, but to those of us who were Sondheim freaks, it was Nostalgia with a Twist, Post-Modern Nostalgia.
By the time A Little Night Music opened, Sondheim really was my worldview. I was sixteen, and I began to have "liaisons"...
My teenage Sondheim obsession makes me appreciate those on this board who are obsessed by Wicked or Rent. I wish I had something like BroadwayWorld then!
I know how much being able to hear D'Jamin Bartlett sing 'The Miller's Son' in the original key at Standing Ovations meant to you!
Well, this should be a fun day!
Congrats PJ - I hope Miss Holly provides you much snuggling and comfort while you are sick.
I'm in a staff meeting with everyone looking.
Naughty me.
YAY PalJoey!

PJ - which election was more painful - 1994, 2000, or 2004? And why?
I don't know if we're allowed to ask this question- what type of work do you do?
...or, what type of work would you LIKE to do, if you didn't do what you do now?
(thanks for the lead-in, Jane!)
Congratulations PJ! While I tend to stay out of the political threads on BWW, I read every one of them. Thanks to you, I'm better armed/informed for live political discussion over dinner with friends. I respect your opinion and admire your zeal for all things politic. It occurs to me that the phrase "ruling from the throne" takes on a new meaning with you down and out with the flu today. Enjoy your day!

Your tireless, passionate attacks on this corrupt administration and defense of progessive ideals is remarkable. I thank you for fighting the good fight and keeping us all up-to-date and well informed as to what's going on out there. You're one of the most important voices on the board and I couldn't be happier for you getting MBCotD. No one deserves it more.
Oh PJ! I'm so excited that you were picked! I can't thank you enough for all of your efforts to keep us informed and active in the political arena. If it weren't for you I'd be a little lost at times. You are truly an inspiration! I say we turn this success into a bid for political office. PalJoey for President!!!
oooh - there's a good question:
If you were President, who would be your Vice-President?
congrats pj!
Congratulations! I still remember when I first met you and you did your avatar pose with your hands in the air and a huge smile, I thought you were nuts. :)
Now I know you are a wonderful person much deserving of this honor!

*Hmm, I look good in a suit and pose nice for pictures, wonders who he will pick for VP? And, I agree with PJ 95% of the time.*
Congrats PJ. I am sure Lorna would be proud.
