First of all, I want to thank everyone again, especially Munk for choosing me. Yesterday was very special, and like I said during the day, it was such a gift to wake up in the morning to a shower of wonderful, beautiful compliments from people I adore, and have endless respect for. I don't know what else to say other than to thank you all for brightening my day more than you'll know, and for the constantly love and support you give me.

Now, as to my successor. Last night I had narrowed it down to a few, and I was chatting with Addy in PM, saying that I was having a rough time with my decision, but of course, I didn't tell her who I was thinking about choosing. She said something interesting, about that there's almost extra -- or at least a different sense of -- value in a nomination of someone who you have only known online, because only on a message board, they have created an impression of themselves that you find worthy. I think she's right, so, difficult as it was not to choose someone who is a close friend of mine in real life, and who has been there for me every time I needed her, I chose to pick someone who I have only known on the message boards. (And hey, our age group needs to represent!)

So, with that, I've chosen PLUM.

She's smart. She's helped me with my 29378409238094 technological questions. She's got a witty sense of humor and sarcasm that rivals the bes. She can hold her own in intense political debate, or debate on pretty much anything, and I know she has a lot of admirers here.

So, three cheers for Plum!
