Tiff, I just heard some new X3 rumors, and I'm a-sceered.
Oooh! Do tell! I know nothing except that second unit came back for all of January. I don't know how delayed the film will be if it has to do any reshoots. The new Ben Stiller movie is taking up freakin' FOUR studio spots AND locations teams so it'll be tough to share room.
I hope you've had a great day! I decided to celebrate your day by getting really drunk with my friends! And now I'm going to bed. Nighty night Ms. Tiffy

You're too kind, Kitz! Hope someone's on holding-back-hair duty!
Hmm... random questions.
What do you like to smell like - soaps, perfumes, etc?
What's the best advice someone ever gave you?
What things do you keep by your bed?
Hmm! My favorite smells...I love Chanel eau de parfum - probably No. 5 and Mme. the most.
The best advice anyone ever gave you..."Tiff, stop spending so much time online!" Too bad I never followed it. No, seriously...hmm. When I was going through a rough time way back when in high school, my dad said, "Nothing tastes better than sour grapes." Meaning that I should get through the tough times with jerky people and remember that if I keep at it, I can prove the naysayers wrong and feast on the sour grapes!
It keeps my optimistic.
Things I keep my by bed...a tacky little gargoyle statue from Chartres, some anti-Cellulite pills, deodorant, a pile of books and newspapers, and my daily planner. Oh, and a box of "secret stuff" which is collecting dust.
ETA: And Shameless asked what's something I've never done before but always wanted to try... I would say being at peace with myself. Never done it, always wanted to try. Haven't succeeded yet. Any time my life starts to go smoothly, I find things to worry about and pick apart about myself. It feeds my neurosis.
Oh man i'm sorry i missed this being sick yesterday.
congrats to the only human member of the my evil cows, they love ya tiff
Listen you lazy ho, get your fat fat fat ass out of that bed and do something productive-like the dishes for example. I saw mushrooms growing out of the drain in your sink for god sakes!
(how's that tiff? I'm off to work)
Shut up, fat fat fat ass. Have fun at work. Hope you remembered the paper bag!
Thank you, Harris! I'll swear off beef today in honour of you.
Oh, Undi, I think you ought to come here and I'll surprise you! But okay, if you were to come to Vancouver, the places I'd show you that best represent me and my city:
- The Pacific Ocean - (well, technically it would be a view of the strait that separates Vancouver and Vancouver island, but it's made up of Pacific Water) - many beautiful areas to have lunch and walk along there! And we have Wreck Beach, a nudie spot where Alan Cumming, Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman used to visit.
- Stanley Park - It's much larger than Central Park, isn't man-made, has a very popular seawall for jogging, biking or blading with trees on one side and the ocean on the other. It also has some famous totem poles carved by our Aboriginal people, who've played a huge part in BC's history but have, for a long time, been marginalized and shown in a bad light by our government and media.
View of Vancouver from Stanley Park:
Totem poles:
- Granville Island - it's a small yuppie island, very popular with locals, tourists and celebs, with an extensive market, small shops, several theatres and fantastic cuisine.
This is the only photo I could find for it. It's really more effective to be there than for the sights anyway (hint HINT, Undi!).
- Robson St. & Granville St. - Is our equivalent of 5th Avenue or Rodeo Drive. All the hot shops, hotels, restaurants and clubs are within a 5 block radius of these cross-streets. We've got the big designer names (and it's slightly less expensive here because of your guys's US$), a huge variety of dining options for any budget, at least 6 Starbucks on Robson alone (including two that are diagonally facing each other at an intersection) and an excellent vantage point for people watching. Did I mention the shopping? DayDreamer will attest!
- Gastown - It's mostly for the tourists. Lots of souvenir shops, Irish pubs, fine dining, cobblestone (I think...it's been a while), and a steam clock that seems to thrill the tourists for some reason I can't fathom...I suppose because it's...steam?
I'd also think of taking you to Chinatown, but the one in New York is larger than ours. It's worth learning about the Chinese, who make up an enormous percentage of the population here - We could check out one of the Buddist temples or Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden.
Van Dusen Botanical Gardens is also worth taking a peek at - I'm not much of a plant or flower person, but their lagoon is a must-see. (And I can't find a picture of it.)
Oh, and of course we MUST take a day-trip to Whistler Mountain, where DayDreamer and I would be more than happy to slap on a pair of skis and throw you down a trail!
This is overlooking Whistler village, which has a bunch of shops, hotels and restaurants:
This would be Roy:
And if we were smart, this would be you and me, Undi:

As CotD for an entire weekend...can you ask Craig to pin this thread to the top so we all can find it easily.
That way everyone will remember to come in and shower the honoree with the appropriate compliments, witticisms, and photoshop efforts.
Your most humble servant,
beacon1 :o)

Wow Tiff, those photos are beautiful!
Well, minion, I suppose I shall grant you your request. And then it'll be unpinned on Monday, so all those future successors have to bump up their own damn thread!
I jest. Craig?

Well, Tiff, it looks like CotD, doesn't have as much clout as one would think.

*drags it up again, panting*
There.
It's okay. The attention is almost embarrassing. But I hope it gets pinned Monday for my successor!
Stoli and Zorra will glady continue the prominance of this thread, though they still can not believe anyone would want to celebrate Year of the Dog, and further, lose out on amazing opportunity for that reason!
They look hammered.
Oh, be quiet. Rath likes pu---kittens.
Be back later to throw a bone (so to speak) at the grovellers. I need a beauty nap before dinner.
Actually, a little catnip never hurt anyone.
I think they had just woken up though.
They heard that Rath was looking for a few good . . . and were not sure what to do!
