This thread has gotten hilarious, pathetic and sick. I am physically disabled, and while I am not too bad off and will live for a very, very long time, many of the students I grew up with in special ed have died. My favorite special ed teacher passed away from MS in 1997. He was in his 50's. In literally a few years, he went from perfect to barely being able to move and speak.
Stem cell research would help so many people. I am Christian; I believe in miracles; I've seen many awesome miracles happen. However, the fact is that not everybody will be "instantly" healed; many, many disabled people are forced to live their entire lives with a disability. Growing up through special ed, with many of the same students and staff from pre-school through high school, remains the greatest time in my life; and if watching special education in California go down the tube were not bad enough, watching a number of my classmates die over the years has been truly painful.
I find it utterly sickening to think how in this case, greed and politics has taken over common sense and morality. The president's job is to do what is best for the country and not for himself, and special ed in California has gone downhill like 100%. And why?
To save money.
I am actually fighting to regain special ed in this state and get it back up to a respectable level. In this case, and in the case of stem-cell research, the public is smarter than the government, and it is up to us to show those overweight politicians some common sense.

Well ,the manufactured 100 hours are almost over.
Hasn't everyone been healed by now. Stem cell research (already completely legal when funded by private monies) should have solved everything by now.
Or did you need Ned Lamont to accomplish that feat?
