They still can't see movies until theaters start adding trigger warning to possibly offensive content.
The free expression of ideas coming out of Hollywood does not foster a "safe space".

This is the worst idea ever. Who seriously would go to a movie just to text or be on their phone? For how much it costs to go now, just stay home and wait for it on Netflix or on demand or other similar services.

It's been literally years since I went to a movie theater, and then only to the old people's showing - around noon or even before! Maybe it's still safe to go that early.

I'm all for it. Keep them OUT of my theater. I hope they allow talking as well as texting in the separate theater as well. Corral all the self-absorbed disruptive entitled twits and put them in one space away from the people who paid to see a movie. Now, if we can only get Broadway theatres to create a separate room with the show on a video feed of the show for those who want to behave like they're attending a private viewing in their living rooms.

I'm, technically, a millennial, though I never really identify with the term. I personally find texting after the previews have started a god damn annoyance, too. It's not like texting is strictly enforced in most theatres anyway. But, maybe what they could do is start texting sections at the back of the theatre. A 21st century version of smoking section. It's too bad everyone can't be as ballsy as Alamo Drafthouse:
