It really is hilarious. I wish they'd finish the next series already.
I like how the main objective is to be funny, not clever.

Yes! That is so true. I was wondering last night why I was laughing at them blowing air horns at each other and also laughing at her clumsy pratfalls. It's just good old-fashioned funny without the need to be clever.
I also love how she acknowledges the camera. You would think that idea would fail, but she makes it work.
Last night was the pilot episode. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of what she has to offer.

Is anyone watching this? I love how she plays to the camera/audience.
I adore this show. I'm hoping that with WLIW showing it, we'll get a Region 1 DVD release soon.

"Can we talk about Tom Ellis, who plays Gary?"
Married to the very beautiful Tamzin Outhwaite who played Melanie Owen on EastEnders.

He's lovely. He made a few guest appearances on another great BBC comedy, Pulling.

He really is lovely--in one of the behind the cenes specials, Miranda mentioned that she wanted to do a traditional UK sitcom but reverse the typical female eye candy element to a man. I love this show, and can't wait for it finally to return later this year--the only traditional sitcom I can remember finding genuinely hysterical in a number of years. The Christmas special was particularly perfect.
OOOh, Tom Ellis, he was in Doctor Who as Tom Milligan, a Doctor. Really liked him in that role.
The episode where she goes on holiday had me peeing my pants.
Boxing Day at 9:00pm on BBC1 and wherever you watch it thereafter.

It's not what YOU call a series. It IS a series. That's why you call it a series. Because it IS a series. That's what it is...a series.

As Heather Small would say: What have you done today to make you feel proud?
Not a huge fan of Brit sitcoms (except Ab Fab and a couple of others) which i know is a terrible thing to say since im British but i LOVE this one. I adore how its a throwback to the 70s sitcoms
