If Brokeback is anything like the short story it's being based on, romantic isn't exactly the word I'd use.

Don't forget the musical Romeo and Julian.

I don't know if the ANOTHER COUNTRY DVD will feature the version of the film with the coda, but we'll find out next week.

The "Another Country" DVD features a director's commentary!

I'm very excited. This movie changed my life (in what way, I dunno, but I feel it), I was afraid it was going to disappear into oblivion. Yay for rereleasing movies to DVD! Preordered it already.

How is that romantic?

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

The love between Hedwig and Tommy was surreal.

But the betrayal of that love is the basis for the whole show/movie.

True, but the first time I saw it, I wanted a Tommy all of my own. And let's face it - I am in St. Louis, Misery, what do we know of romance?

I wanted a Tommy, too but that had more to do with him being played by Michael Pitt who I just love to bits.

Fortunatley, we just had two productions of Hedwig here in town. I loved seeing it on the stage.

My other favorite romantic gay movie was Jeffrey. I know, another cheeseball flick, but dang! that guy from Wings was HOT!

Not to mention that Michael Pitt played Henry in season 3 of the best television show ever aired, DAWSNO'S CREEK. He mysteriously never returned from football camp and devisated Jen. re: most romantic gay movie?

I'm happy that he has broken into movies so successfully in such a different way to Katie Holmes et al, as I always thought he had the talent to pull it off. Same with Jen, she's easily the most talented of the core group on that show, so it's nice to see her cropping up in things like The Station Agent instead of things like I Know What You Did 4 Summers Ago or something.

You and I had an arangement.

AND, I already have my tickets for FIRST DAUGHTER. And if you compare it to CHASING LIBERTY, I'll smack you silly.

But I was saying NICE things, Matt! James Van Der Beek was freaking great in Rules Of Attraction, too. See? Good things.

And JJ is currently rumoured to be coming to London to star in a play. I will be there if he does. A lot.
