OKAY SO
I saw this movie a while ago, and just recently bought it to watch again and I'm addicted...probably because of Ewan's face in it..BUT THAT DOESNT COUNT
ok moving on:
I saw two men's names in the credits for voice doubles, im assuming those were for the character Christian and someone else??
So this may be a very stupid question but did Nicole Kidman sing or not? Because I didn't seen anyone in the credits for her voice double

Posted: 2/13/05 at 12:10amYes...I'm pretty sure she sang. There have been some rumors about it being quite difficult to teach her to sing...but I think she did.

Posted: 2/13/05 at 12:27amFrom everything that I have heard, it was Nicole singing. But there is one part that makes me wonder. Towards the end of the movie during the song "Hindi Sad Diamonds" Nicole comes out singing on an "ah," and it's very high. Is that really her?

Posted: 2/13/05 at 2:12amJim Broadbent had some of his singing dubbed by Anthony Weigh, who played Amos in CHICAGO and understudied the male leads in THE SECRET GARDEN here in Australia. Anthony's voice is quite "legit" so he would have handled the more challenging material. Nicole and Euan definitely did their own singing: Nicole laid down her vocal tracks over a period of months with intensive help from vocal coach Andrew Ross, Dame Edna's musical director.

Posted: 2/13/05 at 8:30pmI know, I can't bear it myself but the people who love it are unbelievably passionate. At least on the DVD you can see the dance numbers without all that crazy making editing.

Posted: 2/13/05 at 8:31pmJim Broadbent didn't do his own singing? Damn it! I was wondering why he wasn't getting a ton of credit for it because "he" was really good!

Posted: 2/13/05 at 9:50pmI really enjoyed it the first time i saw it, but now (after watching it over and over again) i don't like it quite as much. Does anybody find nicole kidman somewhat annoying in the first half and hour or so?
