Billy Elliot, when he is trying to get the graffiti off his mom's grave and his grandmother stops in front of the wrong grave. Also when he imaignes his mother in the kitchen and she tells him not to drink out of the bottle. I had to stop the movie after that scene and call my mom and tell her I loved her to pieces!

Doesn't seem like a likely candidate does it?

Oh, my goodness. AIRBUD! I swear this is the only movie I cry during (although, I don't often see many movies). The part where the boy is trying to set the dog free, and he throws the basketball and the dog chases after it and the boy runs away... SO SAD! =(

Well everything makes me cry but I have to admit that I'm a hopeless romantic, and "The Notebook" gets me going from beginning to end :)

If emotional means crying, then it's only really happened, once, at least in a big way. A television film called WHO WILL LOVE MY CHILDREN, starring Ann-Margret, left me drained.

I agree with many of these, but the 1st movie I remember making me cry was "Something for Joey" a tv movie based on a football player (capelletti??) dealing w/ the illnes and death of his little brother. Man I wept like a baby watching that...in front of my parents even!!!!!

The earliest movie that I remember making me cry was WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS. God, that was heartbreaking.

It was a book first and then made into a movie. There was a movie sequel too but I never saw it.

Beaches , A Walk To Remember , My Girl , Terms Of Endearment & Step Mom make me cry for HOURS... I seriously can't stop after either because My mom was VERY ill for a good course of my preteen/teenage life and seeing her almost dying in the hospital and watching these movies reminds me of what we all went through and how the doctor gave my mom a talk to prepare in case anything happened it's all too real. That last scene in step mom can make a kid convolse. Phantom of the opera makes me cry as well as steel magnolias and lost in yonkers where bella does her full out "i want a baby" monologue to grandma kurnitz.

I don't know why, but I always cry at the end of League of Their Own. I think I am just a sucker for those really happy endings...

Like in the movie In & Out, when all the students start standing up at the graduation... so cheesy, but makes me cry. HAHA

I almost forgot about "Big Fish". I saw that in theaters with my dad, which only made the whole experience so much more effective. I cried. He laughed. At me.

The Notebook (2004) starring James Garner. My son came out in tears. I held them back. I saw my own parents in this film, the World War II generation dying off.

"Four Weddings and a Funeral"... during the funeral, I don't just tear up, I cry. It gets me every time, the same way.

I still haven't gotten the nerve to see "Boys Don't Cry"... don't think I can handle it.
