I never cry at the movie theater - something about all those other people distracts me - but when I saw Stepmom, I cried like I had just lost my kitten. I couldn't believe it.

Dancer In The Dark is the movie I cried at the most. Half an hour after it was done, in the cab on the way home, I was still crying.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Oh, Gosh, DGrant.... "Beautiful Thing" and "Sense And Sensibility" are two of my all time favorite movies!! You have such good taste. :)
The part in S&S where Kate Winslet is standing on the hill in the rain, reciting that poem and crying...breaks my heart every time.
Oh and btw, forgot to mention WIT with Emma Thompson- WHAT an emotional roller-coaster. Couldn't stop crying.

Believe it or not, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT. Those scenes in the hospital with Winger and her kids, and then when she dies and Shirley falls apart -- get...me...every....time. I don't even watch it anymore if I can help it -- it's too upsetting.

But when older Dottie and older Kit embrace at the end of A League of Their Own, I f*cking LOSE IT!

i agree with The Color Purple... just the site of that purple cape flying in the wind in the distance at the end of the film, begins a weep-fest for me... the site of Mister walking in silhouette as Nettie and Celie play patty-cake...
