I need my things.
I have a messenger bag - I carry it everywhere.
Why is it only girls can take things whenever, wherever they want?
Now mine isn't as spiffy as a Diesel one and I don't even think I paid 5 dollars for it. It's just a cheap black bag with a backpack strap- but darn it, I love it.
So if you want to carry a bag, I say go for it.

I carry a bag, but still have my keys, wallet, phone in my pockets, I learned a long time ago about losing my stuff, and my pockets seem the safest place to me. God forbid, I leave my bag somewhere, at least I still have my important things on me.

Jerby. I think I loved your video more than the original. Especially your reasoning behind the designation of "bag" as the term, followed shortly by a man-with-murse montage to "Vogue." Love. It.
I'm all for the murses. As a college student, they're fashion meets practicality. I'm a girl, so luckily totes in general are old hat, but apparently, they're *the* thing in Korea, so I'm seeing all of the boys come back from summer break rocking their super trendy imported murses, in a variety of materials and colors. I wish more American boys would pick up on the idea, because chipmunk pockets are a big no.
I say rock the murse with pride!
Bye, bitches. :o)

Secondly, I have a messenger bag, but I don't carry it everywhere I go . . . just to work or to the theatre or places where I need to carry something other than my wallet, keys, phone, and yes . . . an inhaler too. **screams** ASTHMATICS UNITE **weezes and then takes a couple of puffs**

I thought this thread was going to be about male nurses.
As did I.
Who comes up with all these mushed names?
Murse
Mandbag
Mangina
Manscaping
Menough, already!
You forgot my personal favorite - mandals!
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

LOL!
The distinction for me finally became two things:
1. getting the crap out of my pockets--I have often had a messenger bag with me. That became the norm from not having a car to leave things ever since I moved to NYC.
2. bringing the bag to places I would normally go bagless. I still wrestle with this. It is not fun having a bag in crowded bars. BUT, I don't have to worry about getting pickpocketed. And, I don't have chipmunk pockets or a fanny phone--which has almost fallen off many times from pushy queens who NEED to get past you RIGHT NOW. And when you have a PDA of some kind, you can't just stick it in your pocket.

I am very guilty of the pocket bulges when I go out to bars and clubs....but really there is nothing I can do about it. I need my wallet, metropass, keys and a few other things on me that I can't put elsewhere.

I was starting to look like a raver with all the stuff in my pockets- so that's why a bag works wonders.
That and during art school I had to carry so much stuff that carrying a bag just became habit.
Don't get it twisted - I don't carry like chapstick and compact mirrors like some of my other guy friends do. I carry gum, markers, sketch pads, mints, gluesticks, pens, stickers, magazines, ya know the necessities.

I wish I was on the subway- but I do on the road arts and crafts, yes. I should have a show on HGTV.
oh and btw- I am eating Twizzlers as I write this. :)

Mateo...yeah. I have a backpack that has my sketchbooks, day planner, reading, basic art supplies and lately my MacBook for meetings, that I carry around with me everywhere. But I still like to keep my wallet on me for safety purposes, plus it is just a pain to dig through my bad to get at it when I need it.

ooo a MacBook. I'll take one!
Well I do the same- I keep my wallet in my pocket but everything else in the bag.
Good idea Raviloisun! :)
