Anybody want to go tonight?
Would be fun to get a small group together and have some cocktails. If we are patient enough, I'm sure we can snag a table upstairs. Or, we could always sit downstairs. They usually keep the Broadway tunes on.
Let me know.
if you're downstairs, then yes.
RobbO i wanna make a dive for you avi...
oh, that's right...the downstairs bar
i forgot they built that about 5 years ago...
~ i went blonde there for a minute ~
i thought the downstairs was always there. i first went to splash about 9 years ago and although the bar that is there now was not there i do remember the bathrooms being down there and that little "store" being tucked away in a closet.
That and coatcheck (originally).
What time? I get out of class at 10:15p. Where is Splash again?
~ i forgot when that bar was put downstairs but i remember it not always being there.
~ i remember when they re-did that whole downstairs area. thy installed monitors over the urinals, they opened up that little "store", the bar...
~ haven't been to that bar in six years or so...
and when i do get up to nyc i rarely go out to the bars and clubs...
musical mondays end at 11pm...
16th between 5th and 6th? someone correct me please.
oh--well if it ends at 11pm, I may as well head home.
I think it might be 17th bet. 5 and 6.
I miss old Splash...with the big screen and bar in the middle of the larger upstairs space...and the cafe tables. And Vaseline Alley on the other side of the bar that was cruisier than a Scientologist meeting.
50 W. 17th St, 5th/6th.
You are correct.
So send me a message if you want to go.
We'll make a meeting point.

You so old, Robbie.......
But, yeah, I remember when they first opened and there was no downstairs and they only had the ONE bar in the whole joint.
Jeez Queen, it's a club on the West Side. Not the West Side Club
ask me again in 5 months and i will definitely say yes.
It depends on what night you show up, Middy
No, it just depends if Middy shows up.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
what's in 5 months?
I remember back in the day the surfboard tables and the long runway that came all the way out.
Vaseline Alley. So many backpacks and people with their legs dangling off the bench. Just looking up at the screen and trying to pinch anything that walked by.
Those were the days when you could hear Madonna singing Evita, and everyone crowding the floor.
I forgot about the surfboard tables.
i'm moving to manhattan in 5 months
most likely to Chelsea

LOL Vaseline Alley
I haven't been there in so long. Last time I hung out there, Christina Aguilera's "Come On Over (Baby)" was my jam.
Well, it sort of still is.
I saw Jean-Paul Gaultier at Splash. It was funny.
OMG ~ do NOT mention the West Side Club
I had an ex who worked there (back in '95)
~ I spent one night just handing out towels to the scariest looking people on Planet Earth....
