So i'm a music fanatic and i love the Culture Club, along with Metallica, Clay Aiken, Hank Williams, and Nat King Cole. So what does everyone else like? I'm in a bit of a music slump and need new music.

My Chemical Romance ... their latest album is incredible; amazing melodies and awesome lyrics.
New Found Glory is great; saw them in concert with Fall Out Boy, the Early November (two more favorites) and Permanent Me, and they are incredible. Puts on one of the best shows ever, too :)
I recently saw Panic! at the Disco with Cobra Starsip and Jacks Mannequin ... highly reccomend those three! Jacks lead singer is the guy from Something Corporate, another excellent band. In fact, I'm seeing Jacks Mannequin in concert Feb 3rd and Cobra Starship on the 25th ... can't wait!
Oh, and you "need" to hear Silversun Pickups; they're amazing. So is Bloc Party (kinda fuses reggae; hip-hop; pop; emo ... very awesome group) and the Killers.
All of these are indie artists; proof that independent stuff as a whole is way better than mainstream labels, who often stifle/limit the artists anyway.
Also a huge fan of Michael Jackson; any of his stuff is incredible. And Ozzy Osbourne; same with him. His cover of the Beatles "In My Life" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever.

My bad; sorry
oOo ... there is this band that I saw at Ozzfest ... Dragonforce ... you "must" hear them! And Area 54; here is their MySpace page:
http://www.myspace.com/area54
Extremely similar to Black Sabbath; the lead singer even sounds liked Ozzy!

Posted: 1/7/07 at 6:30pmYou mean there's music outside of Broadway? Not for me! I think since September I've only listenned to cast recordings. Musical theater, for me, seems to be the only type of music that has amazing vocals, lyrics, and music. Yes, there are duds like TWS, but for the most part, I'm satisfied. I can't say the same about Paris Hilton's CD...

Judy Garland is a goddess ... my infatuation with her goes beyond live. I'm a hopeless romantic, and when she sings a ballad, her eyes make you melt. Nobody has eyes like hers. Breathtaking...
I have recently become a huge fan of the Mommas & the Papas; amazing harmonies. And Barry Manilow! He is the only mainstream artist I know whose songs all souund like showtunes. Well, most of them.

Posted: 1/7/07 at 8:52pmI don't get New Found Glory. They are 30 year olds angsting about how society doesn't get them. I think they're a little too old for that. And on top of that, the lead singer has the most grating vocals I've ever heard. If you can even call them vocals.
