Pretty!

I have one on my hip/lower stomach area of a butterfly. I want to get another, but I want it to be right next to my first one and I don't know what to put.

Mine didn't hurt at all, but I think it was the adrenaline rush that did that.

i wish i was brave enough to get a tatoo... i want one on my lower back, but my cousins exgirlfriend had one there and she passed out when they were doing it.
i want an italian flag and an irish flag kinda in one design together.
i have a pretty high tolerence for pain inside, like a headache, but when it comes to skin, i'm a wuss!

My cousin has a tattoo there, it's a eyeball.

She said it didn't really hurt.

oooh... I've been going back and forth for years about whether or not to get a tattoo.

I've come close a few times, but then I chickened out. (I admit it...)
I'm not chicken about the pain, but about whether I'll still love it in 10+ years...

My old boyfriend had some very cool tattoos. I was always so tempted.

i love tattoos. deciding what i should do for tat #5. my lil sis just got her first one a couple weeks ago.

I know what you mean. I change my mind so often that I would never get a tattoo (aside from religious reasons too). What I do instead is temporary tattoos that I design. I had to do that for a show I was in, so i had a big eagle that covered my chest all summer.

Addy - I guess that's why I got mine on the lower back, so I wouldn't be seeing it enough to get sick of it. Most of the time I no longer remember it's there.

I only have the one, so I can't compare how much it hurts on the lower back compared to other places, but I just don't remember it hurting much at all. The tattoo artist was chatting with me the whole time, so that might have distracted me a little. It *was* a little challenging to keep still though. It's like when you're told not to think of elephants and you immediately picture it in your mind?

"Don't move."

I immediately wanted to do some stretches.

Oh I love and adore my tattoo... and I cant wait to get another one! It's on my right hip -- pretty big, purple comedy/tragedy masks. My roommate and I lived on a boat this summer and in one wild act before she moved to FL we went and got tattoos together. The picture of me getting mine (when he first started) is far more entertaining than the actual tattoo itself lmao

Very cute tattoo... beware... you will get more. I got my first one (a tribal flame on my upper back, between my shoulder blades), and then got my second one fifteen minutes later. (An Aquarius zodiac sign on my right ankle)...

I love tattoos... wrong profession to love tattoos and piercings... but, oh, well... do what you love.

Third tattoo - broken heart on my right hip
Fourth tattoo - Kanji symbol for "believe" on the small of my back.

Yeah. There is a concept in Judaism that you aren't supposed to cause any permanent alteration to your body (except for a circumcision, which is a special pact with god). Although then you might ask why I am allowed to have my eyebrow peirced, but it will heal fairly quickly and cover back up when i take it out, unlike a tatoo.

I don't think I could handle a tatoo (I'm deathly afraid of needles), but yours is really pretty! I love the drama theme. If I were to get anything, it would definitely be something like that.

Akiva-Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of all the Jews who have had permanent alterations to their bodies-if you count plastic surgery, well, that takes care of all the Jewish women, LOL!

And because I have no good close up shots of the tattoo, this is me and my roommate at the time the day I got the tattoo. She and I went together, as she was moving like 3 days later. You can see the tattoo on my hip
