I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

Did they have apple juice, or just apple cider?

Marianne, I don't know why, but when I read your post, I heard Kathy Griffin saying it.

What kind of juice did Kathy get?

re: My trip to NYC

What I hate is when they charge extra for an english muffin or bagel. And I don't even like hashed browns and they STILL charge me extra if I say could I have a bagel or english muffin for the same price and you can keep the hashed browns and they say no. And why don't they charge extra for jelly? I mean, it seems like THAT should be more expensive than substituting a bagel or an english muffin for white toast without hashed browns. But they always have those things with all the jelly packets just sitting there for the taking.
PEACE.

Sue, do you take them? Or is that a topic for a different thread? Last thing I'd want to do is threadjack this one. Yum, breakfast!

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

re: My trip to NYC

I don't like jelly that much except for grape. I will always take the grape. I love grape jelly, grape juice, grape nuts. The funny thing is I don't really like grapes. I mean real grapes. But luckily I think most people like strawberry jelly so there is usually more grape jelly left for me to take than strawberry or worse apricot or orange. Blech.
PEACE.

That's sort of funny. Yeah, I definitely am nothing like her at all. Actually, I get comments all the time on how unique I am. It's mostly my voice and the way I walk. All my friends make fun of me and say I have a little "strut." LOL! I seriously think someone needs to video tape me walking when I don't know it because I really have no idea what I do.

And yes, this thread has gotten really funny. But that's okay.

re: My trip to NYC

No wonder people flock to New York! As a native, I've never really realized how scintillating my home town can be.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I just can't get past the fact that they didn't have rye. Rye toast with margarine is the best!

I'm glad you had fun at the hostel! Did you run into AngActing on your trip?

Yeah, think of the seeds as...

...never mind.

re: My trip to NYC

Last night when I went to bed I started thinking about this and it kept me up for a while.

We've been paying a lot of attention to the price of the juice, but how was the toast? Was it lightly or darkly toasted? I find that a lot of restaurants are really half-assed in the delicate art of bread browning.

re: My trip to NYC

How many slices?

I have to remember this place.

re: My trip to NYC

That's a good question addy. I assumed it was 2 slices, cut in half.

But maybe it was only one. That would be a deal breaker for me.

re: My trip to NYC

Since the restaurant is called Maison, does that make it French Toast? Do they charge extra for that?
