I'm looking for a school in New York that so I can start looking into where I want to go.
My marks are alright but are going through serious improvement though my drama, music and musical theatre marks have always been above 90. I take all academic classes. I also have my Grade 7 piano and Grade 2 theory. I'm currently in Grade 10 for high school and I'm also Canadian, but I know most schools take international students :)
If the school offers grants and/or scholarships, that's an added plus because my mom has never been crazy about US school prices. The only problem is that there's really only a few BFA Musical Theatre programs in Canada (though I do have a really good friend who just got into Sheridan!)
I'm looking for a BFA in Musical Theatre.
A minor in Musical Theatre is just as good. I'm just looking for an MT program

BFA in Musical Theatre in NYC? I think the only one is Pace. NYU has BFA in drama where you can do musical theatre (the New Studio has MT) and Steinhardt has a BM (Bachelors of Music) Vocal Performance- Musical Theatre. Marymount has BFA acting with concentration in musical theatre. Not sure about Fordham. I think Columbia only has drama.
In terms of scholarships, you'll have a tough time with NYU. They pretty much only do need-based financial aid, which is still hard to get. Marymount gives money away. Not sure about Pace.
I'm mostly just looking at colleges that offer a program with Musical Theatre. Right now I've looked at: Marymount Manhattan, Pace and AMDA.

Don't do AMDA. No one will look at you seriously. Out of those 3, I'd recommend Pace.
