For the record, I like Foster, Maraclea, Namo and Jaystarr. And Mister Matt, Besty, PalJoey and BorstalBoy, too, for that matter.

I don't know - I can't speak for anyone - but I think Best is saying that the threads weren't so much about the English thing, but I could see how it could be taken that way.

I dunno. I'm a big old hypocrite, so don't take anything I say too seriously.

I, too, adore jaystarr. He's been known to laugh at himself as well. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all. I learned that from Carol Channing.

If I must spell it out, I will...

I've tried not to contribute personal attacks in this thread, or the others...

But it seems clear to me that there is a group of old-school BWW posters who are fed up with the shallow, fangirl/fanboy, giggly, superficial (did I mention shallow?) points of view that turn up with exhaustive recounts of (did I mention superficial?) Broadway experiences. It's become the norm on the Main Board, and jay* was a maverick in the mix.

This has more to do with a discrepency in priorities (pecs vs. art, "cute actor who signs" vs. "talent") than it does with English as a second language.

There are many other posters on BWW that don't call English their first language. They don't "get it with both barrels" they way Jay* (even the name is a "cute" way of appointing himself a "star").

This is a roundabout way of saying, "Go away. You tire us. Your posts about 'look what I got,' and 'look who I stood next to in my tight T-shirt' have nothing to do with Broadway, the love of theatre, or a discussion or review about the actual shows themselves. They're all about you and your cute, sexy, little experiences as an audience member."

Just rubs people the wrong way.

Okay, I do not know if you remember back on the weekend it was last weekend I think I went on a road trip to see A Chorus Line The Tour and there were so many hot guys who were there. Plus there was a song called "Hey! That I Can DO! I Can Do That!" and I thought this is such an amazing experience I should document it somehow and take pictures of as many of the special things I can because I have a bad memory and then I thought of a lot of the reviews with photos I have seen here on the BWW and I thought "Hey! That I Can DO!" which is one of the most important parts of A Chorus Line after What They Did For Love.

I hope this clears up my motivation. What's my motivation? LOL

And I agree with whoever said invitation is the sincerest form of battery LOL

And remember Hey! You Can DO THAT! LOL

PS What I mean is you should document your amazing experienes taking photos with your iphone or dinglberry and post them here because some people like it and that is why we do things here because some people like it not everybody has to like the things we do here.
