I was gonna go for that, but I googled it to make sure that was the spelling. And urban dictionary said it could go either "Fierce" or "Cunty". I didn't want Joe to think I think he is "Cunty".

Maybe convince folks that if people think you're gay, it means they think you're pretty, then people would come out more. Get a few Jerri Blanks out there to believe that gay = pretty... (which, actually is true a lot of the times, most gays are pretty), then people would be more likely to come out.

And rich. That's actually true a lot of the times, most gays are rich. Because they don't have kids. They can't! So they have all this disposable cash. And college degrees and high paying executive jobs and they live in smart neighborhoods that they made really appealing because a lot of the times, most gays have a flair for design.

The choice/not choice dichotomy thing bugs the crap out of me.
For a variety of reasons:
1) I always imagine "well-intentioned" white people saying blacks should be treated with respect because it's not their fault they are black. An apparent presumption that there is something wrong/inferior with minorities.
2) It brings up the question of free will and whether there is a choice about ANYTHING; a question far from settled in philosophy and biology.
3) Finally, why should free will, theoretical though it may be in any instance, or the lack of it, be the test for deciding whether people have the same rights as the dominant social group? Shouldn't the cause of equal rights be based on the fact that we are talking about the rights to love and private expression as opposed to conduct which is harmful to others?

My old roommate used to watch him but I never cared for him. I don't like Oprah, really, and I don't like any of her D list celebrities that she's put out into the world.

That's cool. I believe we can learn from others, even those we don't necessarily care for.
