re: national democratic convention

Yes but Enron got to write the energy policy of this administration, but I am sure they can be trusted to come up with something great. I hear their California plan went really smoothly. Next up, Halliburton writes the government procurement policy. I assume at some point we'll just write our tax checks payable to Hallibuton.

Al Sharpton's speech was good, but over the top and over the time limit.

I thought his head was gonna explode.

I stopped listening to what he said a long time ago, because I was laughing at his ranting.

He doesn't need to be that loud to get a point across. Sheesh.

The part about the donkey was good. But he would gain in effectiveness if he only yelled the sentences he was emphasizing.

But it seemed like he was dissing Lincoln, not a good idea.

But then, it only seemed like he was, I don't think he meant to, because Lincoln died and couldn't guarantee them their 40 acres and mule.

He talked about Hoover, actually, in that part. But anyway, I doubt he would want to evoke Lincoln too much. Doesn't fit into his thesis of "Democrats were always good for blacks." Funny how the Republicans and the Dems totally flipped positions there, a flip that was completed only around the Reagan era.

ok, when you're sitting around shell-shocked on november 3rd wondering what happened, remember back in march when it was decided that kerry's vietnam service trumped john edwards innate ability to connect. this guy would have walked away with this thing. he'd be ahead by 20 points by now. how many people are watching this and kicking themselves?

My mom has a friends who was a head adviser for the EDWARDS campaign and is now a head analyst for the KERRY/EDWARDS campaign. And John Edwards is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He would be one helluva a VP.

ok, so now he's going populist and he sounds a bit shrill, but what the hell is he doing with his tongue? it looks like steven bauer in "scarface!"

His speech. Genius. Compassionate. Hopeful. Full of truth. Positive. Optimistic. Full of great ideas. And not one jab at Bush.
