This sounds so cool. They need to make a movie on this. Lets hope Sondheim writes the script with David Burtka.

You know... I sorta lost all faith in him because of something he did here in LA.
He is the President of the Magic Castle and put a stop to some shows that Jim Caruso was doing out here.
They were getting huge crowds of people with money and breathing new life into the place. They were all Broadway and show biz performers and Neil said he didn't think it was right for this to be happening at the establishment.
It made me very sad that the guy who was hosting the Tonys, and passing himself off as a big fan of Broadway, pulled his weight and got the shows shut down.
I had been hearing the rumors, and I wanted to know if they were true or not. So, I wrote to Jim and flat out asked him and he verified it.
So, frankly, all of this love for him makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

Ugh, when I go to hell I'm going to be stuck with him in a room.
He'll proceed to talk about himself for all eternity, I just know it.

David does seem like he could go Celestia at any moment.

When you wipe your ass with $100 bills this is what you do with money. The more and more he described the opulence and extravagence of the spending the more it turned me off.
Let's just flaunt it and tell everyone how we waste money!

Yeah, that was annoying.
They've gone past their "cute, cute, cute in a stupid-ass way" sell dates.
Now they're cruising somewhere between the Spellings and the Kardashians.

I suppose it is at least partly jealousy, but my main reaction to that story as it went on was... How much money is this ****ing costing? I think when you have money and you have earned it, of course you should enjoy it, but there gets to be a point....
And the more cynical part of me wonders--you just turned 40. You have a great husband. You have kids. You have a great boyfriend. Why go through all this work? A weekend of a Sondheim puzzle hunt--like he did for charity a few years back with Normal Heart is just as impressive and makes more sense to my mind.

A husband and a boyfriend? NPH isn't as wholesome as we thought...

It's not just the money (which is excessive), it's the EIGHT MONTHS it took to plan and execute it.
I think the Les Miserables movie took less time with their entire production schedule.
I kept picturing Neil with a powdered wig and snuff box while he told the story.

I love it when the wealthy flaunt their money and try to act cute while doing it in front of millions of people who are living pay check to paycheck.
Doesn't make me want to punch them in the throat at all.

I'd rather he talk about the birthday threesome. That piece was so sugary and entitled it made me sick.
I just love when rich people gush about their lives to poor people living in a horrendous ecomony.

What's the antonym of Schadenfreude? I.e., "unhappiness at the good fortune of others"?
(Please note that I capitalized the noun for you, PJ.)
