Thankfully I was finally able to land a job, but for a few weeks I wasnt getting anything... so i was frustrated... and the best way for me to let out my frustration is with photography! it relaxes me, it puts me at ease... its the best thing to do to pass the time (right Jane?!). Anyhow, I have never photographed New York, so I am hoping to photograph the city as much as I can while we're here.
Here's what I got so far:

hope that wasn't too many photos! There are still so many more places to go photograph... if anyone has any suggestions of where I should go next... please let me know!

GORGEOUS photographs!
Thank you for sharing them.
And, welcome to New York!
WOW. These are gorgeous!! I especially love the ones inside the library, and of Behesda (might you have those in HQ?) but they're all beautiful!
if anyone has any suggestions of where i should go
i'm being nice, i'm being nice, i'm being nice.
you cannot serve up softballs like that, man.
I'm glad you found that day job, but couldn't you find work as a commercial photographer?
Those photos are beautiful. There are so many that I would love to have hanging in my new apartment! (I have kind of a half-assed NYC motif going on in my living room based on the photos I took in New York, but they pale in comparision.)
Have you considered photographing the United Nations? The grounds and sculpture are beautiful.
SO many places in New York to capture images...
Wow! Beautiful photos.
papa - never mind...
everyone else - thanks!
emcee - let me know which ones you want in HQ and I'll send them your way. I have them in very large HQ format.
NYadgal - the united nations is a great suggestion!! i hadnt thought of that one yet... i will add it to my list.
there are so many places to photograph... i'm putting together a long long list.
Those are really amazing. I love all of them, and you are very talented. I almost thought these were pictures from postcards.
I just sent you a PM with some other ideas.
I would frame each and every one of those. They are stunning!
Gorgeous work.
Try the northern end of Central Park (above 96th) - the landscape there is rockier and a little more "natural," less "manicured." It's absolutely beautiful.
And Riverside Park is also spectacular.

those are unreal! Wow!
what kind of camera do you have?
Those are spectacular! Wonderful work.
thanks D2... i got as far as the Bow Bridge and then i got too tired and walked back out to the west side and went home. the park is huge. then another day i entered at 81st (i think?) and shot Belvedere.
I wish we could score tickets to Hair. I'd love to shoot the Delacourt... although, now that i think of it, i'm sure you cant take photos... so nevermind!
Prospect Park in Brooklyn, too, is quite lovely.
Wow, very nice! Makes me miss the city even more! There are a few of those..actually more than a few..that I would love to have hanging in my apt!
I absolutely love your pics, Pab! Love them! I think I vaguely remember you telling me you were into photography.
If you haven't been there yet, Greenwich Village is gorgeous, and surprisingly quiet.

If you can take photos like this, why are you so uptight about finding a job? Print them out and sell them as postcards. Right in front of Central Park is a great spot. Theater District before and after a show is another place.

You might want to see if you can shoot the Delacorte from Belvedere Castle.

Can I sell them? There's a fortune to be made here.
